Mr Doria Lifting...

New member
Hi guys,
I uploaded Mr Doria's video breaking the world record back in the day.

I hall put the youtube link in order to avoid breaking site policies by posting Mr Doria's web site.

If by any chance the youtube link will violate EF policies, please feel free to remove this post.

Cynical, BiggT, Tweakle, Guinness etc will enjoy this for sure:

Post up what you think.
Cheers,
Erik

good stuff as usual erik. those squats were DEEP! i love the deads in the first part.

how much was he lifting and what was his bodyweight?

Sorry for the delay in posting guys, I have been working my way out of a lower back injury. I was under a lot of stress due to personal issues and I one day just ripped a bar off the floor without thinking and BAM... there goes my back. Doria had to literally unfold me as I cringed in pain.

I cannot post all his weight classes but I shall say this:

When he broke the world record in the 1st video, he was 67.5kg and squatted around 224kg. That was a world record.

He then fluctuated along the normal weight classes, hitting a max of 95kg (he is only 1.65cm tall).

When he was older, I believe he squatted 250kg at 82kg and that was a South american record for Masters category (not sure though).

Thanx for all the positive feedback guys.
You guys are great and very inspiring :)

Yes Blut, he does have a body suited for this sport: His tendons never hurt, his back never hurts (albeit his weird deadlift form) and he basically has a mind of steel and never skips a practice.

Btw, when watching him deadlift, the first rep is sooooooo slow off the floor and then all the rest are wicked fast and powerful.

But now that I moved I will not be able to train with him anymore :(
