It's already commonplace in countries like France and UK already. Then again, socialist countries are great to instill control over people by government and corporations. What do you think socialism means? "We run your lives".

And with a socialist government - this'll become commonplace here. All this means is that unless us hardcore hackers will figure out how to break the system and still dl music and movies. But the rest of you - will get cut off! Suckers.

btw: this wo'nt stop here, soon websites will be 'censored' by the government and same stuff will happen if you go to them (ie: gambling, anti-governmnet, porn, etc.). The only solution will be satellite ISP's which is around the corner.

i've pirated movies for about 8 years.. use to pirate that shit before torrents on IRC and hotline... never been caught or got an email from my ISP

How about people who pirate e-books? Wheres the defense for the struggling e-book industry? Fuck Hollywood. They make piece of shit movies anyways. If a movie is worth seeing then it's worth seeing on the big screen. Otherwise everything else should just go straight to tv.
