I'm looking to buy an MP3 player soon... one to use when I'm working out and doing cardio. I've been checking some out at Best Buy, Circuit City, and the Internet... there's like 1000 different ones out there! For my purposes, the best one I've come across so far is the Nike/Rio... it's rugged and water resistent... perfect for tough workouts. Anybody have any other suggestions for a good MP3 player? I'm looking for one that's small, light, rugged, and looks good. Appreciate your input.

bro, why not just buy a discman that reads mp3 tracks, then you can put 300 of your favorite mp3's on a cd and put it in your discman and listen for hours, and LOTS cheaper.

Intel Pocket Concert holds 128mb, is as very small, and has a belt clip. It costs about $250, though.

CD players tend to be burdensome because of their size. If you were going to go that route, though. Why not just get the Rio Volt - that can hold 6 Gigs of songs.

An MP3 CD player will probably skip too much right? I'm checking out that Intel one now. Thanks.

No, cd players that play mp3 cd's actually downloads the whole song into its memory before it plays it (but you won't notice a time delay) so it still won't skip.

i just bought a nomad 20G mp3 player. holds 20 G's worth of music. although it's too big to work out with IMO, it's holds a ton of songs. i currently have about 1200 songs downloaded on it. if you work out with a cd player, than the nomad will be fine, it's the same size.

i also have an old rio mp3. it's about 1" by 2" which is great to work out with, but it only holds about 5-7 song depending on file size.

I got an mp3 player. 64mg, so aboiut an hour of music..perfect for my workout.
It is AWSOME...SOOO tiny u dont notice it. Lite as a feather.
I also have a mp3 cd player. Its TOO big and bulky. The little one is what you want, unless you work out for 14 hours

I agree with Leviathan - I have an Intel and I love it. The whole thing comes with a carrying case, docking station, car tape player adapter, stereo adapter, and it has alot of memory as compared to most other ones.

I just got my MPIO mp3 player a few days ago--I ordered it off the Internet. IT IS AWESOME!. It's tiny, sturdy, and has 128 MB of internal memory. On top of that, it comes with these cool neck-strap earphones, an arm band, and a belt clip. As soon as I get my digital camera fixed, I'll post a pic of it--I love it so much that I feel I should at least endorse it! Later

I bought the Intel MP3 player too. I have about 50 songs on there at 96 kbps. Look for it on e-bay. They have hella MP3 players new and cheap. I made the mistake of buying it retail for $250.
