Movie Review: Dan in Real Life

this movie was excellent. steve carrel's acting was fantastic. He SHINES in a modern day dramatic role. Juliette Binoche, played his love interest.

Steve is a single father raising 3 girls. He goes home one weekend for a family reunion and meets a woman on the way. She's the first woman he's had interest in since his wife died, and he falls for her HARD.

Then he gets to his parents house and discovers she is his brother's new girlfriend and the family LOVES her. Steve spirals into a depression....



that's all i'll leave you with. My 12 year old watched it and liked it. Had enough light hearted funny moments to keep me smiling.

Steve Carrell is one of the greats.

Hopefully he'll pull a Robin Williams Good Will Hunting type scenario and get an Oscar soon.

He and his daughters come to terms with things, though.

Thats exciting enough for me.

it looked crappy to me. kinda like a sell out steve carroll movie

but i havent seen it so i cant judge. does seem like a chick flick though

I usually love Steve Carrel but I thought that movie SUCKED. I was so disappointed. First of all, I HATED her character. I didn't really like either one of them. I thought they were jerks and kept wanting them to fall and bump their heads on something so they would just STFU. They were so self absorbed that they basically made little effort not to cheat and cause a big uproar in the entire family.
