You want a motivational story?
I have been in your shoes before and still am. I tore me ACL my freshmon year of football in high school. After 3 surgeris the doctor recommened and pleaded with me to not play sports. He says it just wasn't worth it. Now to some 6 figure doctor it may not have been worth it, but to a kid that is atletic, sports and pussy is all you really care about. Now this doctor is telling me not to because I physically can't.
At first, I got depressed and gained a lot of weight. I went from a lean 190 to a fat 220 in two months. I was pathetic. All my friends would go out and have fun and play sports while I did jack shit. Then one day I decided I was more than what some doctor thought I was.
I got off my ass and worked out intensly at the gym. I played football the next few years. My knee held up fine becaue I busted my ass. In the end I won a section title, a league title, all league 2 years, most valuable back in the league and recieved over 40 letters from school. Lastly, I was chosen to play in the Northern California Allstar game. I did what everyone said I couldn't do. I love it when someone says I can't do it. Then I have to go out of my way to prove them wrong.
With my ACL, I think it is one of the best things that could have happened to me mentally. Physically? NO, but mentally I am stronger than ever. I know that i can do whatever i decide I want to do and not what somoene else has decided for me.
You will get over it. If you work hard you will play football again.
Things happen and there is nothing you can do about them, but what you do with what happens to you makes you what you are.
