Whatca all doing for Mom this weekend?

We always ask her what she would like for this day and then her job is to show up enjoy herself and do nothing but be pampered.

This year all 6 of us kids are taking her to a beautiful park area for the day where we will Bar-b-q for Ma and play games with my 5 nieces and 2 nephews. Should be a great day

i gotta take my daughter shopping to get something for her mom, (thinking a digital camera, she lost hers) and then i gotta get my mom sumthin, not sure what yet though, maybe some rose bushes for he rnew flower bed

Double whammy.....my wife's birthday is on Mother's Day this year.

I'll have my kids for the weekend... And it is also one of their birthdays on Frid - I will get a whole 2 hours on that day.

I don't really care about Mother's day for me. Any day I get to be with my kids is a holiday for me (I have had this view since I split from my ex and he started trying to take the kids from me.)

I think I will want to celebrate the child's birthday and honor my sister instead. She is really the exemplary mother. Without her I would be nowhere and she is my LITTLE sister.... Funny how I mothered her throughout her formative years because our own mother was too caught up in trying to deal with our father. And I am the one who turned out so "naive and unfinished". I just feel fortunate that she is now "returning the favor" so to speak.
