Most Disgusting Thing Ever

Some of you read about the exploding pan of broccoli in my kitchen, well I haven't been able to get rid of the rotting broccoli smell... so I took apart my stove and underneath everything I found a disgusting pool of broccoli water. OMG I've been having bad stomach problems all weekend, I just puked my guts out.

I could show you decaying animals around my crib I use brocoli juice for air freshner

I feel your pain. Once a few years ago while I was away on a business trip my brother came over to my place and apparently made broccoli. He then left what he didn't eat in the pan. I came home two weeks later to a big pan of rotten broc and a nearly uninhabitable townhouse.

Open all your windows, wipe everything down with water with bleach in it (on the strong side), wipe dry with a paper towl and leave for a few hours.

I did all this with kitchen cleaner with bleach, sprayed everything with lysol, just brought out 4 new candles, and just went for a run and came back. It appears to be much better

I hate food smell in the house.

Like scallops - I love scallops - but it takes days for the smell to go away if the windows are closed. :worried:

I haven't been able to eat salmon for while because of its smell.

Don't laugh - best broccoli is the green gaint steamer bag - toss it in the micro and voila done

mix some sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) with water and spray it all over the residue. most of the chemicls that small bad resulting from rotting food are carboxylic acids, and contact with sodium bicarbonate changes them into a carboxylate salt which is odorless
