Morning workout w/cardio...what should i eat before?..catabolic???

In that case I would drink a protein drink soon as you wake up with some simple carbs, or skip the carbs and have a protein shake with flax or fish oil...then hit the carbs heavy after your workout.

I agree with JG here, without the carbs, if you are cutting use oats for carbs postworkout, if not cutting than you can pretty much load up on sugars.
