Bino was referring to the book of Abraham, which is not part of the BoM which was translated from egyptian texts that we actually do have and are published.
There are many things in the Book of Mormon that are evidence of its authenticity.
For example, guerilla warfare tactics are present in the book, which was completely unheard of in American warfare. Joseph Smith was familiar with muskets, and shooting people, not guerilla warfare.
Chiasmus hebrew poetry is something an, at the time, 21 year old with no significant formal education would have even been aware of, let alone produce an extensive amount of it by sheer accident.
A portion of Isaiah is cited in the book, and the translation was compared to what the Bible passage translate them as from Hebrew, and the Book of Mormon citation is actually more complete and accurate, and is not plagarized word for word, which is what a fraud would do.
The plates themselves are said to have been taken up by an angel. Extremely "convenient", but there is plenty of evidence and witnesses to conclude that they indeed were real. People saw them and held them. Even men who left the church never denied what they saw when asked decades later. A portion of the heiroglyphs from the plates were copied down and taken to an expert in New York that deemed the characters authentic. A 21 yr old "uneducated" person can't possibly fake egyptian and have it actually be real by chance.
There are too many things to list.
Even things that it was initially criticized for heavily back then over time have been proven to be accurate, such as the existence of certain animals in the western hemisphere that, at the time, were believed to have come from the east since the colonization of america by the europeans. Such things as horses and elephants. We know the mayans made tons of elephant carvings and sculptures, which proves they were known as far back as 700 AD from archaeological records. It could have been a simple target to be proven fraudulent, but more recent discoveries prove he was actually right.
Again, from a physical evidence stand point, there are many things. As time moves on, more and more things are being proven accurate as opposed to ignorant or untrue. Nearly every single point of criticism, and there are hundreds, have been proven over time as discoveries have been made. The only large lingering question left is the specifc geographical location of where the events of the book took place.
But, even with the ever growing support of evidence in its favor, we don't try to convince people to join our church because of physical evidence. Specifically, we challenge people to read the book and pray and ask God if it is true and recieve a spiritual witness from God himself that it's true, and not take anybody's word for it except his.
