that is just awful. There is a show that comes on down here on animal planet that shows animals being abused like this and the owners, most of the time, know its wrong but don't care. How can anyone with a heart NOT care. Some had their collars imbedded in their neck from out growing it....horrible horrible.

Please, please, please people, DON'T buy dogs from pet stores. Only buy them from breeders. Go to the breeder's home and ask to see the pups, the bitch and the sire. I worked for a pet store once in college. I quit because I figured out what the business is all about. I can't describe the ugliness to you. It was unimaginable.

I worked for a pet store once in college. I quit because I figured out what the business is all about. I can't describe the ugliness to you. It was unimaginable.

I agree 100%! But the ignorant see these cute little puppies in the store and go "ahhhhh so cute" and by him/her !

There was a guy up here in Quebec that was doing this also and he was found dead with a bullet to the head. The SQ (which is our police force) did not interview ppl, or do much of an investigation. They were HAPPY someone killed him.
I am the most gentle person around and hate violence., but I tell ya, if someone put the owner of this puppy mill in front of me with a gun, I would not think twice. I would feel NO guilt and I know I would have done this world justice.
Some ppl are beyond help!

Everyone, and I mean everyone (who has no allergies) should own an adopted animal. They are as loving (if not more) than a store bought dog or cat.
Seriously folks, we need to stop this abuse. We freak out when kids are abused we should freak out as much when animals are abused. why? Cause the ppl doing the abuse to both live amongst us. Sickos no matter who they harm!

No doubt....My Husky pup is from a breeder and my Malamute was adopted from a rescue shelter that rescued him from a kill shelter.

Most ppl do care, most are just too scared to take action. Most ppl do not want the responsibility, yet they will squeeze out kids (go figure). I mean it's not too hard to feed a cat, feed and walk a dog. And the love you get back and appreciation is paramount!

My mom hand-fed them and their babies veggies washed, dried, and warmed from the grocery store, like, three times a day (she now volunteers at the Ozaukee/Milwaukee Humane Society Shelter). I can't imagine breeding something in such conditions. If you have no love or interest in the animal in the first place, why breed them? Go sell a kidney or lung or something....

Tweakle, it isn't only that! They also have diseases run rampant. We had a parvo outbreak that was killing the dogs. The owner decided it was more financially sound to let the puppies suffer and die in the back, because he got refunds for dead dogs. He refused to let me take a basset hound puppy to the vet, and I quit. The pup died of parvo, and he got his refund. Fucker. I hope the store ownder rots of some cankerous flesh wound one of these days.

take a walk down the streets of calcutta or in some 3rd world african countries where corpses of children are just laying out in the open if you want to see terror and misery.

haha.....you may be right. Quebec has no laws or regulations with breeders and these horrible puppy mills are all over.

well, i think the US has some bad ones too- i don't really know, but i've always just known not to ever get a dog from a pet store.
