Easy....simply hold the check

I'm sure they have money allotted for these repairs. Simply not cashing the check won't make them put that money back in the bank. I'm afraid they will always have it marked as money gone.

I thought about that, but what if it doesn't show up in their sysytem as cashed?

Say they already alloted for the money being spent. They may never update their records as having the money back unless I return it.

It may actually show that I still have the check even though I never cashed it. That's just as bad.

well if you endorced it and a charity cashed it or you just cashed it and gave it to charity, it would show as cashed.
Give it to charity. Karma will be kind to you

I dont look at things like that as stealing, but as a way that someone upstairs is looking out for you and thinks u need some xtra income.

Long story short, I sent my xbox in to be repaired. Paid via credit card.

Well shortly thereafter Microsoft announces they are extending their warranty and thus all repairs will be free and people who already paid will receive a refund check.

Well my next credit card statement I noticed they took the charge off my account. Cool. I didn't have to pay.

Well yesterday I ALSO receive a check in the mail for the price of the repair. ($140).

It's obviously a mess up on their end. Now I am an honest person so I want to return the check, but at the same time
I AM NOT calling Microsoft, waiting 20 minutes on hold only to speak to Mohammadizabedeb and then get transfered a half dozen times. I get very angry having to call customer support.

What do I do?
