Mohammed Cartoons

Cool ! I like them. I guess these folks never heard about somehting called Freedom of Speech ? If they only saw the cartoons about some of our politicians.

Oh and I forgot, Muhammed is a bitch-ass-faggot, everytime I eat pork chop, I think about his gayass person.

I could have called you an ignorant fucking fool for so blantantly stepping over thousands of years of carefully and consistently exercised principle, and then asking "what the stink is all about?".

But i feel i must be patient and pressing to deliver my point. These cartoons, are not just depicting Mohammed, they are also depicting him with murderous eyes and daggers etc. They are not only making cartoons but they are outright insulting him. That should be very clear to you dumbfuck. Excuse me.

Secondly you must understand the people who accept his message and lifestyle are doing so in honest and innocent devotion. They have been doing so for 1600 years. It is strictly prohibited to produce or come up with any potrait of say Mohammed or any other significant figure in Islam, which includes Christ. This would take away from the direct relation of the individual to god and people will start to idolize people.

I don't care about what was depicted of Mohammed. I don't even know if Mohammed was afterall a "prophet" of "God". But one must respect the consistent immaculate devotion of his followers. For so many years, they stick to their principles, and principles is what you lack and fail to understand.

It is like spitting on the canvas of the painting that has taken billions of people thousands of years and the asking "what the stink is all about?".

In all due respect i wouldn't mind spitting on your stinking face.

.

When in Rome, do as romans do. In civilized countries, we can produce a potrait of God, Jesus, Muhammed, Martin Luther King or Dave Chapelle. We have something called freedom of speech and in this case, it aint about making fun of someone alive, whose life might be screwed up by some cartoons, it's about some guy who lived long time ago. Maybe they should grow up and see that life is not only about religion. Or better yet, if they didnt care so much about us and what we think about their lame beliefs, maybe they'd be happy ?

I suspect you of being one these hypocritical, house of cards, upside down people who defend islam as a lovely traditional concept, then go militantly secular and antitraditional when Christianity is involved.

Islam is not only a faith of followers who practise it in "Honest and innocent devotion", but like all religions, to differing extents, it´s also an excuse for bigotism, violence and mind control.

I disagree with your analogy of it being like spitting on a valuable old canvas, since blasphemy on one day by one newspaper in Denmark, of all places, is hardly as relevant to a whole religion as a big loogie is to one painting.

I think you are expressing a very one-sided and inconsistent argument.

I'll ignore your personal comments and remind you that islam is not just a spiritual religion but an all encompassing philosophy of life. It dictates all aspects of human endeavor from when and how to pray to how the legal and economic systems should be set up; it dictates politics and even basic human interaction.

However in the west one of our deepest held values is the freedom of expression. It help define us as free men. Therefore it's all open to satire. The muslims living in our western societies need to understand that and accept it. there really is no room for discussion. If a cartoonist chooses to portray allah wearing a bomb-turban then that is his right.

It is the obsequious response of our governments and some media outlets that is most alarming; only giving fuel to the fire of jihad against the west when our own leaders do not defend our values.

Well, those european muslims are really making their point about how peaceful their religious history is by calling in bomb threats to each of the offices that have published these cartoons.

I see them for what they were meant to be.Satorical humor that is based on facts, thats why Dave Chappell is so funny, can't we sometimes laugh at our selfs. with out getting so defensive, it makes you stop and look at yourself.

Freedom of speech > devotion to Islam.

That's the problem with islam, they think it's the other way around.

All you people talking about freedom of speech are kidding yourselves, I double dare any Danish, or American, newspaper to publish one anti-semitic cartoon or a cartoon that depicts jews negatively.Apparently you only use freedom of speech as an excuse when it suits you, hypocrites.

And Manny, your a cum sucking ignorant faggot! Your a real tough guy behind the keyboard but I bet you don't have the balls to say what you said about mohammed in any Muslim country! no wait, screw that, I bet you don't have the balls to go stand infront of a mosque or Islamic center IN YOUR AREAand say that. Dickwad! :finger:

I have no problem standing in front of a mosque and say crap since our good government thought i was good enough to have a CCW. Notwithstanding the heat packing aspect, the only mosque in Montreal is located in a very white/protestant area and these muslims lay very low.... now please, i have to go eat my pork chops with 5 peppers sauce.

Let's use violence to prove we're non-violent.

Islamists over there are fucking stupid. That's the cartoon image i'd paint.

I don't get it. Some people around these parts are up in arms when black people or Jews are made fun of. Other people make fun of those people.

You appear to be from the first group. I'm from the second.

lol

Matt's quote specifically applies to all religions. I just love how everyone in a white Christian country try and denigrate a religion simply because the beliefs, while remarkably similiar, differ from their own ever so slightly. I think all religion is a cancer, I just delight in pointing out the hypocrisy.

The Muslims are overreacting to the cartoons because they have been allowed to do so for so long. Something strange happened after September 11, 2001; instead of the world condemning radical Muslims, the entire world seems to be kissing their Westward-facing asses just so as not to appear to be persecuting them. So they have come to believe that they have the moral authority to kill anybody who does not think, speak, or do as they wish them to.

I am not aware of a single prominent Muslim so-called leader denounce terrorism. Do you know why? Because they do NOT denounce it. They support, enable, encourage, and reward it. These people have declared war so there is no reason not to engage them. Much as someone wearing the "X' logo has declared himself my enemy by subscribing to the radical anti-Caucasian hate-think of Malcolm X, so it is with the Muslims who believe they must kill the "infidels".

A huge necessary first step is to clean out the cesspool called Palestine.

I do so enjoy reading this post, considering that I've just finished watching a SouthPark episode where Kyle (the token Jew) has probably been the subject of at least 10-15 "jew jokes". They pretty much exercised all the steriotypes.

At least they didn't pick on "token", the token black kid this time. And they didn't bring-out their verson of Christ, who has his own cable access show and sometimes slugs it out with Santa Clause. At least Mr. Hanky and Christ haven't duked it out that I know of.

So yes, we do put our money where our mouth is and routinely make fun of even our more familiar religions and belief systems.

I don't recall anyone fire-bombing the British Embassy in Rome when the Life of Brian was released. The whole movie was about a mistaken belief that some guy called Brian was infact Our Lord and Saviour.

They had a go at the 3 Wise men creeping around the cow-shed a 2 o'clock in the morning -- The Saviour shacking up with some Welsh tart -- Crusifiction - one cross each, lying on the left -- the Saviour telling everyone to Fuck Off after he brought forth juniper berries.

No one cared. They just laughed it off.
If Islam is based on such solid beliefs then surely it can survive a little cartoon. If not then it must be one screwed up belief structure.

personally I don't think they are a big deal, but a good comparison is the anti semite cartoon, would we really allow that in a major publication here? I think you'd had some protests.

The violent responses in the middle east - burning down consulats, etc - just sorta convinces westerners that perhaps those cartoons contain a bit more thruth than the muslims would lead you to believe. Their protests in Londen are especially telling in that they are chanting for the extermination of the west.

Remember Bush called it a Religion of Peace.

9/11= muslim reaction: "we condemn this"
3/11= muslim reaction: "we condemn this"
bus bombings in london: muslim rreaction: we condemn this
many beheadings:muslim reaction: "we condemn this"
many suicide bombings in Israel and Iraq: muslim reaction:"we condemn this"
Arafat the thief and crook: muslim reaction: NONE!
Saddam the butcher(of fellow muslims) arab reaction: none!
Sunni's killing shiites; shiites killing sunni's: muslim reaction: "we condemn this"
honor killings: muslim reaction: not much!
racist cartoons printed everyday in arab papers against jews and christians: muslim reaction: not a peep!
christian and jewish reaction to racist cartoons about them in arab papers: not a peep!
The muhammmed cartoons: Muslim reaction: Armageddon!!!!!!!!!!!!! WW3!!!!

what the **** is going on here??????????????????

would they be missed? even a little? all that they offer is hard to pass on, i know, but........

Fuck all religion. I can't stand being in the same room as anyone that believes in Chirtianity, Islam, Judaism, Budhism, or any other form of brain washing. All you religious fucks need to understand that every man that has ever graced this Earth is just like you...a mere mortal. Jesus was a man, Mohammad was a man and so forth. These fucks did not turn water into wine or part the seas...there is no such thing as magic...didn't you learn that in elementary school?

Same with Mel Gibson's movie about Jesus Christ. We're more civilized.

All religions have been made fun of

Islam appears to be the one that fosters violence

I'm sorry you may not agree, but your religious rights don't supercede my freedom of speech.

If I'm in your place of worship, I'll respect your beliefs. Outside, you're just another guy.
