i got a few, i'll run them. but this isnt typical adware/spyware behavior. its popping up a security id/password screen for login to that site.

yeah, they all work differently. if you can, go to the website of that company- they MIGHT offer you a removal tool (by law i think they have to, but many don't).
there are a lot of things you can do, but you sometimes have to be fairly well versed in computers to do them, like editing your registry.
 
No, no, no, no. no. Chill out. A member had a pic hosted on his own site, then got into a little situation such that he felt the need to lock down his server -- made it login-only. So when you ask him for the image in his sig, his server asks you for the login password. I took out the image, told him why it was a problem, and he explained what was going on. No pwnage or spyware involved.

before I read this, I sent perk a PM suggesting this might be the problem, a link to a pic on a subscription site.
