i think that's sick and i wanna pull the trigger...what do you think?
no shippin costs either...though i'd have to tweak the tires that come with the package, i think they'd have to be a bit less wide

that's a 20" wheel. In order to fit that much wheel under your ranger your going to have to go with a lower profile tire. So your basically going to have more wheel and less tire. Which is fine, but I thought you wanted to off road?

the phone dude told me to go pull the numbers off my current rubber.
but i don't see what this does to size for new tires...fug

i thought with the 20 i could still get a little bit thicker rubber...kinda the best of both worlds
75% pavement/25% offroad.

he's looking to figure the Diameter.

http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html

You can do it yourself...Enter in your current tire size, and what size tire/wheel your going to replace it with, and it will tell you the new size. Its a good tool if you want to keep it close to stock (so you don't throw your speedo off)

The 22's on my car are exactly the same size rotating mass as the stock 16's

you can...go measure how much room you have without running into clearence issues. Then find a larger tire that fits into those specs.

fug, i can't use that site on a government comp, which i'm on

no worries...I'll only be able to figure out what is closest to stock size. You need to measure how much more clearence you have to go bigger.

and without a tape measure, with these tires i got about 10 inches clearance vertically, about 7 horizontally

Stock Tire: 215/75/15
Sidewall 6.3in
Radius 13.8in
Diameter 27.7in
Circumference 87.0in
Revs/Min 728.0

New Tire- 245/40/20
Sidewall 3.9in
Radius 13.9in
Diameter 27.7in
Circumference 87.1in
Rev/Min 728.0

That tire will make your new tire .1% slower than the stock size, which won't even register on your speedo. You can see how much smaller of a sidewall your going to have to run in order to keep everything the same. Any bigger and you will throw your speedo off.

To go about 3" bigger on the diameter means that when your speedo is reading 60mph, your actually traveling 66.3mph or 10.5% to slow

245/40 + off roading is a bent rim just waiting to happen. go with an 18 and a little meat!!!!

Heck, why don't you just go buy and truck that allready has the wheels you like on it. Save a lot of headaches...
