There's a selection box on the Inbox screen for each message or week of messages. Select that box, scroll to the bottom and there is an option to delete the messages whose box you selected.

It has nothing to do with ordering. Look in the aas forum, needto gives a trial plat constantly to members. He actually has a thread dedicated to people who are non plat that would like to try out plat.
There are many perks that come along with a plat member and he just wants to be able to help people and give them those perks. More pm storage space, as well as the full search function.
