Minmize fat gain during bulking cycle

Anyone have any suggestions on how to minimize fat gain when on my bulking cycle. I was thinking some form of cardio, but which is better, high intensity for around 20min or medium intensity for longer? I plan on doing this cardio in the morning so should I eat something before hand rather than doing it on an empty stomach?

It seems like an oxymoron. If you are bulking. . . then adding a little extra fat is necessary. However, if you are looking to avoid signficant fat gain, watch the diet. Be sure to keep protein intake really high and fat and carbs to a moderate level.

I realize that a little fat gain is needed but I was trying to avoid as much of it as I can. From searching through past posts I want to give the shorter high intensity cardio a try. Anything particular I could eat before hand to minimize any catabloic effects.

try and find a level of calorie intake that is larger than what you need for maintenance, but not way higher. Eating like a pig will get you fat no matter what gear you're on. All I change when on is that I take a little more protein powder, and drink 1 1/2 bags of skim milk extra per day on top of my regular meals.

I've been doing cardio in the morning on an empty stomach and I've been getting pretty good results.I usually jog like two laps, and than do 50 yard sprints.Than I'll count in my head to 15 and sprint again.Sometimes I'll also do suicides, brings backs memories of wrestling and football. As for if you should eat before hand that all depends on you, personaly my body is fine with it but I know several people that need to eat a little somethin or have a protein shake to get something in there stomacch before just because if they don't they always puke.

milk comes in bags in canada. so ...on extra bag of skim milk. i think a bag is 2 quarts or a half gallon.

you've got it, milk here in the great white north comes in big 4liter bags, that contains 3 smaller ones, I drink an extra one of the small ones, works out to about 60-70 extra grams of protein per day

Yeah we are crazy bastards, the only thing that sucks is you cant fit a lot of exercise equipment in your igloo

Also, controlling aromitase/E2 production will go a long way towards keeping fat patterning down. For that very reason,I ALWAYS run 1mg/day of liquidex with EVERY cycle, and my fat gain has been much more bareable since I started doing this.Keep an eye on carbohydrate overconsumption as well.

that's a really good point, my first 2 cycles I didn't run any arimidex and gained estrogenic fat in areas I've never had it before, pain in the ass to lose afterwards

Milk comes in cartons on the west coast of canada (Vancoucer BC)
However... I do remember back in the day.. say 15 years ago when you could get milk in bags here... Not any more though...

Needsize: You don't get any stomach/gas problems from drinking that much cow juice a day?

Thanks

Bulking means eating lots of food... but good quality food... in this terms I mean no junk, sodas, cheese unless cotagge, fast food... because it is what you eat that will determine how much fat will you get when bulking. When bulking you will increase bodyfat somehow, but it will depend on your food intake if you get a low or high amount of bf%.

Dr. Bones, no, drinking all that milk never bothered my stomach. I tend to down a ton of dairy, at least a full container of cottage cheese per day, as well as lots of yogurt and a ton of milk, no problems. It ends up being a very cost effective way to increase protein intake

High intensity will burn calories faster, whereas, longer duration lower intensity will tap into fat stores and therefore break down fat more effectively.

Needsize, your one lucky bastard... I love dairy... but milk especially just roughts out my stomach.... Makes it a lot harder to get in a ton of protein
