Milk while cutting: yes or no

Humans are the only species, which drink milk after they come of age. (after they leave their mothers tit)

Good point Nautica. Another is that we are the only species that drinks milk from another species as a staple. My question is how does milk sugar have no effect on body comp. I mean there is 13 grams of sugar in an 8 oz glass of milk. How many of you only put 8 oz in a protein shake. I drink three protein shakes a day all with about 12 oz of milk thats 21.5 grams of sugar per serving 3 times a day. Are some people of the opinion that, that much sugar has nothing to do with looking smooth?

If you're looking to get that ultra ripped stage look than yes Milk should be cut out atleast a month before competition. BUT, if you're just looking to get lean and defined I see nothing wrong with keeping milk in the diet. Just as long as you're doing you cardio and watching your overall fat and carb intake milk won't hurt you.

Sounds good, can anyone confirm this? I LIVE off protein shakes w/ milk and will never compete, but some day would like to look like the bowflex guy... thoughts?

What the fuck guys? "No dairy products!" lol thanks rippazoid lol. Can anyone give me a LOGICAL and/or SCIENTIFIC explanation as to why dairy products are off-limits during cutting? I think low-fat dairy products are o.k... I've never read anything conclusive indicating otherwise. Have you?

If u are getting ready for a show then ok, no milk and keep your carbs low but for most of us it's ok we're all not pros!

Hello guys,

Well in regards to milk I love it and I am not wanting to compete. Now yes there is a significant amount of fat and sugar in milk. For those that are like me using protein shakes and using milk, if the shake requires two cups of milk or something like that, then try using one as water and the other as milk. Once you get used to that then maybe you can use water for all of it. It will cut it down in half in regards to the amount of fat and sugar. Most of the protein shakes are made or formulated to work dissolve and taste great with water. Hope this helps.
