Middle of the night..........

I usually pass out around 10ish (wake at 430) and wake up about an hour or so later completely starving.............grantded my last full meal is around 7pm, but I'm not sure if what I'm doing is detremental............I usually whip up a quick casein shake and toss in some peanuts and maybe a few veggie sticks to hold me over......anyone do this? Against it?
 
I wake up around 3/4 am and find myself craving peanut butter. Someone told me that is was because of my diet. I usually scarf down 6-7 tbsp, but if the craving is real bad I jump into cookies. It screws my diet all up. Anyone have any pointers?
 
If I don't do cardio then I am sure that I would get fat or better yet my love handles would get wider. I kill myself doing cardio. Last night, again ended up eating a crap load of regular pb, ran out of npb. And, I brought in my muscle milk so that I would just mix up a shake instead..... :worried:
 
I take intorvarin before bed so I dont get hungry at night. It works for me.Except I have to piss everynight at 330 like clockwork.
 
Before I used to get up just to piss, now it is piss and eat pb.
Where can you get intorvarin, if it is an over the counter drug or vitamin let me know.

Its a protien mix that is supposed to last in your body for 8 hours....slow burning. Its kind of expensive but it seems to work. You can get it at body building.com I belive or max muscle has there own version not sure what it is called.
 
I get REALLY bad too BUT have found that one rice cake and can of diet rite will kill the craving enough to get my ass back to bed. Iam 10 weeks out from nationals (jr's) and it has helped so far.

Always thought rice cakes where on the high glycemic list, but you'd know better than I.......how about when you arent in contest mode? Everything is fair game?
 
i eat 2 whole eggs and a cup of beaters with 3 slices of turkey mixed in right before I lay down, I don't get hungry at all during the night and I wake up a couple times to piss.....

why not just eat a decent sized meal right before bed?
 
I eat a protein shake and a handful of almonds before bed. That usually holds me over for the night. Is it ok to eat the almonds right before bed?

I eat peanuts every night, in my shake and on the side, and I've had only positive effects...........
 
if I wake up at night I take the following: micellar blend shake with some efa's+r-ala (to keep insulin levels as onstant as possible), cyclobenzaprine (muscle-relaxant), ultram (mu-opioid agonist - pleasant painkiller) - usually if i wake up it's due to some muscular discomfort (a stagnating ache quite often), hence the meds (I ain't no druggie, honestly)

You sure seem to know your shit, Juve. Mind me asking how you find out about this stuff? I'm not referring to the ultram, but just your general knowledge base I've noticed.
 
I usually eat 8 oz chicken breast with greens or 6 oz lean ground beef (7% fat) with greens, yet I still get the pb cravings. I bought some micell edge, same thing as muscle mulk, to see if will help.

If all else fails I will lock the cabinets and throw away the key....
