Texas Officers Involved in Standoff at Border
Tuesday, January 24, 2006

SIERRA BLANCA, Texas — Men dressed as Mexican Army soldiers, apparent drug suspects and Texas law enforcement officers faced off on the U.S. side of the Rio Grande, an FBI spokeswoman said Tuesday.

Andrea Simmons, an agency spokeswoman in El Paso, told The Associated Press that Texas Department of Public Safety troopers chased three SUVs, believing they were carrying drugs, to the banks of the Rio Grande during Monday's incident.

Men dressed in Mexican military uniforms or camouflage were on the U.S. side of the border in Texas, she said.

Simmons said the FBI was not involved and referred requests for further details to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

The Inland Valley Daily Bulletin of Ontario, Calif., reported Tuesday that the incident included an armed standoff involving the Mexican military, suspected drug smugglers and nearly 30 U.S. law enforcement officers. It said Mexican military Humvees were towing what appeared to be thousands of pounds of marijuana across the border into the United States.

The incident follows a story in the Bulletin on Jan. 15 that said the Mexican military had crossed into the United States more than 200 times since 1996.

Chief Deputy Mike Doyal of the Hudspeth County Sheriff's Department told the newspaper that Border Patrol agents called for backup and were joined by Hudspeth County deputies and DPS troopers. Mexican army personnel had several mounted machine guns on the ground more than 200 yards inside the U.S. border, the newspaper said.

Doyal said deputies captured a Cadillac Escalade that had been reported stolen from El Paso, and found 1,477 pounds of marijuana inside. He said Mexican soldiers set fire to one of the Humvees stuck in the river.

The site is near Neely's Crossing, about 50 miles east of El Paso, it said.

"It's been so bred into everyone not to start an international incident with Mexico that it's been going on for years," Doyal said. "When you're up against mounted machine guns, what can you do? Who wants to pull the trigger first? Certainly not us."

After the newspaper reported on Mexican military crossings, Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff said the report was overblown and most of the incursions were just mistakes.

In eastern California, Arizona and New Mexico, the U.S.-Mexico border is largely unmarked. But in Texas, the Rio Grande separates the two countries and even when dry, is a riverbed about 200 feet wide.

In November, Doyal said Border Patrol agents in the border town of Fort Hancock called for help after confronting more than six men dressed in Mexican military uniforms. The men allegedly were trying to bring more than three tons of marijuana across the Rio Grande, Doyal told the newspaper.

Doyal said such incidents are common at Neely's Crossing.

deportation is just taking a pain killer. You have to extract the tumor in order to stop the spreading. ya know what I mean?

I posted a video in another thread taped by minuteman project of Mexican Army crossing the border. I told you guys. Too late. Go to your backyard and a spic will be eating a fruit from your trees.

Notice there is not a peep of this in the main stream media - CNN, ABC, Fox, etc. - Got to keep the average american in the dark. It seems clear that the Bush Adm. wants to put it’s guest worker program, aka amnesty, into place and does not want these outrageous border incidents to hamper his goal in any way.

All recent polls show overwhelnmingly that most Americans want the border secured before any talk, whatsoever, should take place regarding so-called guest worker programs. By completely ignoring his base supporters, you have to believe the Dems that Jorge is pandering to corporate America and the unions. There is almost zero prosecutions regarding the hiring of illegals by big and little firms. This tactic is wreaking havoc on the middle-class worker who sees his wages coming down and his jobs disappearing.

here is some footage of a Mexican Military incursion taken by the Minutemen back in 2004 !!

http://www.minutemanhq.com/hq/article.php?sid=40

Chris Simcox and a group of Civil Defense Corps volunteers encountered a squad of approximately eight armed Mexican soldiers about 500 yards inside American territory.

The Mexican soldiers started running back through the brush to Mexico when they realized they had been spotted.

The video shows a uniformed Mexican soldier climbing through a barbed wire fence on American soil to return to the Mexican side of the border as he races to catch up with the other Mexican soldiers who had also climbed back through the fence as they retreated back into their country........

..........The footage, filmed in 2004, was sent to then Secretary of Homeland Security Tom Ridge. His office did not respond. The video has remained in the Minuteman video archive and is being released in response to recent news reports that over 200 cross-border incursions by the Mexican army have been documented since 1996.

use this link to contact your senators to let them know how you think:
http://www.teamamericapac.org/contactsenators.htm

tell them:

1. You know that guest worker is amnesty!
2. You oppose all amnesty/guest worker bills and ask them to vote against these.
3. Tell them to pass an enforcement only bill, just like the House did in December.

I thought most of the Mexican population was here in New Orleans now.

That's what you think because you see thousands. The sad part is, there are thousands in every city.

What's the purpose of using that term?

purpose? to identify a certain group of disfunctional criminals. It would be interesting to ask them what is the purpose of calling American people "fucking rednecks" in their own soil.

same shit, different day

Europe is seeing ever more anti white racism developing from the inside out.

our governments are more involved in planning the buildup of cities and they dont like segregated parts so they try and force people to mix geographically. Schools with 50% whites are SHIT. get over your PC fucking self and look at the test scores. Teachers in black schools are afraid of the kids.

Our more socialist systems of welfare and unemployment are keeping a lot of people from adapting

they´re forcing people to live in the same place with lots of tax pressure. It doesn´t work.

What are the two problems- Crime and poverty.

They are both almost completely caused by immigrants, completely at the cost of the native population.

If you want to move to New Zealand you have to speak English and own 200k dollars. Why do they get to do that, and we dont? Why do we have to be so PC and weak and accept all these deadbeat refugees and economical refugees so we get our eagle scout badge from the other countries who also hate them?

fucking half the coloured kids in holland think bin laden is a hero. I hope they drown in dogs puss.
