Meeting someone single....

SublimeZM said:
im gunna make a generalization here and say that getting a new boyfriend when ur still with someone else is more a girl thing

a higher percentage of girls would do the whole better deal thing than guys would
unless your in san fransico or Canada

i think that's a gross overstatement PBR.

I look at my own friends and counted 10 couples alone who were both single prior to hooking up.

There are more single people out there than ever before, so it stands to reason that more single people will hook-up together

thats cool bro...thats what threads are for, perspectives and opinions. i respect yours. it was a Question, not so much as a statement. i agree that there are more single people now days than ever before. however, these singles have mostly come from divorces- which are a wide spread trend. it also depends on age groups and demographics which i did not get into-i was generalized.

i will stand my ground on this and say the majority of people meet a SO while engaged in another form of relationship....

I was talking to 2 friends at the gym my age talking about divorce. All of us had atleast 8 friends that were divorced or on second wife. I asked them how many of their divorces did either party not cheat or have something lined up....None of them. (total of about 24)

bro- i could not even begin to count....you started with 2 people and got to 24 without trying...go figure. thanks for the info bro.

some people dont have the maturity to end something when they no longer want to be in the relationship. they just end up draging it out until something "better" comes along, and it leads to cheating. some even go out knowing they are going to cheat just so they can pack up and run. if your done, then your done, so end it before you fuck with the other person. (uhh, skeletons are coming out, gotta stop)

pinky....aint it the truth sometimes?...we want what someone else has. but the reality is: we dont "own" anything. much less another human being.

six...i agree. alot of people do things out of desperation (not an excuse).
alot of people are afraid of hurting someone without an excuse, ie: meeting someone else- what i think is most prevelant- the fact that most people are afraid to stand and be alone.
