I did my first meet on March 8. It was an unofficial meet at my gym -- judged by USAPL and NASA judges so those were the rules used.

I competed completely raw at a bodyweight of 153 (I'm wasting awway; down from 165-170 over christmas break).

Missed those first 2 squats on depth, and sunk the third. Overall I am glad that I got the meet in because I learned a lot -- however, disappointed because just a month before the meet or even any time last semester I'd estimate my total would have been over 1000.

Sorry I haven't been around at all, but school is killing my lifting this semester and I just can't stay healthy for more than a couple weeks. And it's hard for me to stay motivated like this when I am sick and losing progress. I know excuses don't go far in this sport but there is no way around being sick all the time. I will be back on the forum more over summer break.

Good job bro. Now you have a starting point to biuld on. I'm willing to bet that in 1 year from now your total will be up 100-200 pounds. Plus that is a raw total you posted. If you used equipment you would have been over 1000 easily, so don't get discouraged bro. keep pounding away and it will pay off.
 
Good job DOM !! Sounds like you had a good meet, and got some good practice. I know how school can suck the life out of you. Are you getting plenty of vits and mins in your diet to reinforce your immune system? Seems like everyone's been sick alot lately. Congrats!

I know I will blow away that total next time, but I was just disappointed that it doesn't really represent my best at this point.

spatts, been doing a decent job on diet, except for not getting enough cals in. good call though I will get back on a multivit.

Good job. I feel like Ive taken as much away from a bad meet as I have a good one. with the bad ones its easier i think to tell what ISNT WORKING and change things from there.
