ME Upper (OHP/Tri's) - PR's and vids

ME Upper today. Felt pretty good, and had a good workout. Weights are up on most lifts, but I am only counting PR's on a couple. The upping of the weights on the others is planned, so I don't consider them PR's.


Warmup -
DB cleans - 1x20
Windmills - 5lbs each arm, 10 rotations each.

OH Rack Presses - Seated, no back support
135x2x5
155x3
175x3
195x1 PR!
205x1 Bigger PR!

Strict Standing OHP -
120x3x8 - Up 5lbs from last week, but planned. So, I don't consider it a PR.
120x8 - Set 3

Clean and Push-Press - 1 clean, press for reps.
165x2x6 - Up 10lbs from last week, but planned. So, I don't consider it a PR.
165x6 - Set 2

Face Pulls -
5x10 w/ Light bands

CG Press - Index fingers on smooth
155x5
175x5
195x2x3 - This might be a 10lbs PR. Can't remember.:D


Felt strong all through the workout. Still need to work on my Push-Presses. They don't feel comfortable yet. But, I'm feeling much more confident and comfortable with OHP'ing in general.:) Thanks again Suston.:)

My safety bars don't go up high enough. (Stupid Weider rack from Sears.:mad: )

I've had to modify it twice so far. Piece of shit. The same amount of money would have got a much better one from New York Barbell. Wish I'd asked the board before I bought.

clean and press looked solid bro. Good lockout I might add. On the way down with the bar try to dip at the same time so the bar will reach your shoulders at a half squat position, and then you can explode up. Good lockout presses
 
King> Thanks man.:) I think the rack lockouts are really helping with my OHP. Plus, they BLAST the tri's......:D

Great PRs, Joker. I doubt my seated press is that high. In fact, I never even do them. I might have to try right now (in the middle of DE Upper, lol).

But remember, that seated press was a lockout. The bar starts from where your upper arms are parallel to the floor.:)

I don't know what my full ROM seated press would be. I stopped doing any seated full ROM pressing a while ago.

Weird. I stroll through workouts half asleep, listening to talk-back radio, posting here inbetween sets (like now, gotta go push press!). I can't relate to being angry. This is my relaxation... lolol :D

It vary's from day to day. Yesterday, I felt so run-down and out of it, that I took most of the night off from work, and went home and to bed early.

Today, I felt "ok", and a lot better once I had some food, and coffee in me.

Going in tomorrow to have blood taken again. They thought my glucose level was high due to not fasting before it was taken the first time. I have to not eat from 8pm tonight until 9am when I see the doc. I'm gonna be starvin'!!!

Should know in another 5-7 days or so. Not sure if I hope they find something or not. If they do, and we can fix it, Yay! If they find something serious......Well, who knows.....
