Ouch...really ouch. Man...we are beat up from Sunday...lol. Cleaning the log was NOT an option for us today...lol.

I have also decided to wear my knee sleeves from now on when I do any kind of walking event...my knees are killing me today. The knee sleeves don't seem to help with strength any...they just keep me from aching later that night and the next day. That has to count for something.

We opted for seated bottom position rack presses. I did mine with a close/moderate grip to help with all strongman pressing.

I think that we are going to keep the rack presses in our routine at least every 3rd week. No OHP in Boston...so I can focus on many different pressing exercises. I need to focus on my actual shoulder strength right now anyway.

Just to give you an idea what your arms look like after pulling on a 415 stone 5-6 times...

Awesome overhead. Must be hard sitting like that. I bet you can get a lot more standing up, right?

I did a push press with 325 x 5, two weeks ago on the Viking Press.

My OHP with a straight bar really sucks...no idea why either.

nice clint, I think for good pressing power you need some more reps, I am big fan of 5-8 reps, the incline press was real fast bro

BTW, your suggestions you gave me for my OHP are working great! I've been going up in weight pretty much every week.

Thanks, man.:)

The bands weren't too bad at all. I always feel the bands on bench right where my forearms meet my biceps...and my rotators aren't my weak link...so that may be why I didn't feel them there. Just make sure and keep a tight and high arch...keeps the shoulders back at all times.

I think that I'll probably keep the bands on the incline for a few weeks. I need to learn to use a lot more speed when doing inclines.

Awesome work.

Your videos give me so much motivation.

Those bruises/scrapes on your arms are nasty cool.

great workout bud.

i have the same problem as you with bands on bench, it really kills my bicep tendonitus. im hoping the lovely Trinity will buy me some chains for Christmas and i can start using them on speed bench days.

i also really want to try my seated ohp like you had it with your legs. that looks a heck of a lot more stable than my normal stance. yesterday when i was doing rack ohp lockouts with 3 inch rom, when i got to 315. my first rep went up and i locked it out, then i lost balance on the way down and it fell forward. so i scooted up, and pressed and locked out the 2nd one. it fell backwards on the way down. so i had to scoot back to finish the 3 rep.

it almost looks like what Metal Militia would do for OHP pressing....lol

Nice HARDCORE workout once again. I really do enjoy the fact that you;

1-talk to yourself

and

2-blast METALLICA

Thanxman. It makes my day every time.

good job bro, u need overhead pr's again, very good to see:)

Yeah, you saw me hit the 325x5 Viking raw...I need to start hitting them left and right again. Gotta get back on track with these. Gotta find the new 'key' to it...

And yes, I think that Cuthbert could have beaten me on the log on Monday:)

yes, i saw the viking and that is why i think this weak overhead bar has got into your head. you looked VERY strong on the viking 2 weeks ago.

Standing OHP with a regular bar sucks for me!!!! Last time I tried to jerk 275....I missed it twice. Got it on the 3rd time...lol. I think I did 250x7 a couple months ago standing.
