I want to say Thanks So Much to my wife. It has been a rough 3 years of being sick, doubting myself, and sometimes she was the only one who believed in me. Lord Knows that she is the only person who could have lived with me the last 3 years...

Second:

Thanks to Richie for helping me train and get hooked up with this contest, feeding me, and inviting me into your home!!!!!

The contest was a blast, GREAT atmosphere even if I didn't understand a word!

Harness Pull: I was the 1st to go:
37.16 seconds, 8th place

Viking Press: no sure weight
10 reps, 3 way tie for 6th place

After this I was RELIEVED AND EXCITED FOR THE NEXT SEVERAL EVENTS!!!

Frame Carry, 660 lbs, 20M down hill, 20M uphill
27 seconds, 2nd place behind Katona

Tire Flip, Super Yoke
51 seconds, 2nd place behind Katona
(injured my hand badly on tire flip)

Car Hold for Time
41 seconds, 7th place

Atlas Stones, 242, 330, 330, 385, 396 lbs
5 stones in 44 seconds, 2nd place to Katona

Finished with 3rd Place Overall!!!!​

What's the deal with the music playing during the event? I mean "Dancing queen" during the Viking press? Not exactly motivational. Play some Alice In Chains or Metalica and you'd get another 2 reps

Remember, nobody there spoke English...so the music really didn't matter much to them..lol. I think ABBA made their hit by breaking into EuroVision (a European TV singing contest) so who knows...

Near the Stones they started playing ACDC and Metallica and everyone standing around me looked at me strange because I knew the words...lol

Thanks man...

I was happy after just doing the first event. Couple years ago my Doctors told me I was DONE competing. All I had to do was stick with it for 3 years, find a contest promoter willing to take a chance on me, and do ONE event to prove them wrong.

After the 6th and final event...I did cry though...quite a bit.

ACDC and Matallica are more like it. Don't they have their own metal type music that they could sing along to, or do they just play english bands?

You should have told them about ABBA, that no one likes ABBA and ti should be banned form competition, lol
