Give me about 2-3 years and i'll be pushing that kind of weight on the leg press...as far as i am concerned leg press lifts aren;t all that impressive...personally someone squatting 500pds for reps is much more impressive...

Ditto, I used to work with 30 plates on my working sets (my best squat is 505 X5 to give you a true ratio of leg press to squat strength in a given individual), I recall reading that Markus actually can handle much more weight, but on leg press focuses on slow controlled reps, and does like 8 sets.

Go figure...Body tosses in another "Well, that's pretty good, but I haveeeeeee......" blah, blah, blah.........Just .02, you're beginning to irritate the hell out of many..........don't shoot the messanger....just tone down the egotism...........

No, I'm saying the guy can handle alot more than that, but choses to go very slow and controlled, and does many sets, opting for volume rather than intensity. Why is it egotism to just say "I've done X." It isn't like I've said I'm as strong as the guy. Fuck, I don't have an ego at all. I have no idea where you guys get this. I don't happen to think much of my accomplishments to be honest with you, nor do I consider them to be that impressive, so I'm really not certain how ego factors into the equasion.

As previous posts of mine have stated: perhaps a major factor in why alot of guys are not lifting heavier weights is the fact that they have a mental hangup that lifting certain weights is impressive or difficult for a guy their size/weight, and if they just realized it isn't, they may find they are stronger than they realized. Most of what goes on the the weightroom is mental.

Umm bbf hasn't been posting lately especially about what his gym lifts are so I don't know what crack your smoking but you should lay off.

DID YOU EVEN READ HIS POST??

he said that Ruhl can use much more weight but concentrates on good form...jeeeez!

Seems that doing just about anything can irritate the 'many' around here .

Whilst I love the pic, its actually not THAT much weight for someone of his size and experience, particularly as the angle of the sled looks fairly shallow.

Hey - Bbf and I are cool.....we have our differences, but it's all good in the end......he DEFINATELY doesn't need you to stick up for him...he's a big boy.......just some feel as though he needs to turn it down a notch......HOWEVER, he does have some pretty good insight on things....it's all good bro -

Yea they are 25kg's , I've done 13reps at 450kg and that would be 990lb, but that was like half of that weight he is using :)

I don't get it though, LOTS of pros and non professionals are puching the pelgs with their hands(helping up the weight), why not lower the weights and with that lower the risk of injuring yourself?

No Jkurz and I are cool. We post alot on the diet board in the same threads... and I like everyone there. Its kind of like the training board in the regard that there is alot of brotherhood there, and an open and honest exchange of ideas.

I'm not one of the many. BBF is a god, though judging by some of his posts on the sex board a bit of a perv.

:D

Well, we can't all be perfect. Yeah, I'm a perv. Anywho I'm using sex as my current cardio while cutting. 2 hours a night seems to be working well. Just started last week. WHo said 100 mg of prop every day isn't a perfect cutting drug?

If you let out a fart at that kind of weight you're gonna rip yourself a new arsehole and spray the whole gym with turd fragments!

Newsflash!!!!

Man dies on rowing machine after being hit with a high velocity turd. Markus Ruhl denies secreting Weapons of Mass Destruction in his bowels. A 12 man inspection team are in Mr. Ruhl's ass right now serching for other dangerous weapons.

this is why these guys are pros. They know what they are doing after years in the gymn they've learned the best routines and best diet plans. and the work to the level of no other pushing past limits they can't do but some how do do it. That leg press i'm sure is nothin to him considering that most of them have been doing that stuff for like 8 years straight.

Whoope shit....

I can do 11 plates a side and my legs are nothing to scream at. Remember IT'S A 45 DEGREE LEG PRESS! You can work your way up pretty quick on that thing. In a year I went from 4 to 11 plates a side. My legs are toothpicks. There's an older guy in my gym with gray hair that does 12 a side for 4 sets or so every week.

Like to see his squat instead.

that's a shame... Almost sounded like you were bragging there for a second.

No not at all. That fella is a monster, but I doubt very much if he's "maxing out" on the 45. I'd guess he was warming up for squats or something.

Not bragging...hell I can't even beat the old guy at my gym...

Hell, how do we know that he isn't doing 50 reps for this set? Saying that it's nothing doesn't give enough credit to the exercise, or to Ruhl. If I saw someone in my gym doing that much, regardless of their size, i'd stand and watch with my jaw on the floor.
