Mark Rippetoe's Starting Strength Routine

I've been doing my own thing for a while and have decided to try this out and see if I can get some good solid gains. After all I have read about this program, the only question I have is how do you decide where to start weight wise for the different exercises? And help/ advice will be greatly appreciated.
 
plan it in such a way that u hit all ur PRs in week 3 or 4.. as u'll be adding weight to the bar each workout.. and if u're new to all the compound movements, then u could shoot straight off and start conservatively while adding tiny bits of weight to the bar every workout and if u're new to lifting, it could take u a looooooooong way...
