I didn't read anyones replies so plz excuse me if I repeat things. From my personal experience I've noticed virtually no drawbacks from smokin' up while on cycle. Although I wouldn't smoke blunts much (you smoke too much paper/tobacco with these) and I would recommend using either a bong or a vaporizer. I've been smoking MJ for a few years now and have noticed I actually do BETTER when I smoke on cycle. It calms me quite a bit (f'ing tren makes me irritable sometimes!) but the primary reason is for calorie consumption. I'm always bulking. So those couple bong rips late at night help me consume an extra 800-1200 cals before bed.

I really wouldn't blaze before the gym simply because if you aren't careful you'll smoke too much and kill your focus/drive. As far as it having a detrimental effect on recovery; I doubt it. It really relaxes my body and muscles and helps me sleep, thus leading me to believe it helps with recovery. I have absolutely no scientific proof to back any of this up, only my own personal experiences. I wouldn't recommend everyone blaze up all the time either, but it seems to really help me.

Keep in mind...Arnold was a stoner.

Okay so last night I was with some old friends, went out a bit and was asked to share in with the weed. Now, normally I follow the doctrine that on cycle=no unrelated drugs (ie. alcohol, weed). I hadn't smoked a joint in a long time, maybe 2 years, and I hadn't seen these friends in even longer so I was like "what the hell, theres people that have a few drinks on cycle, i'm sure a few hits won't kill me" and got pretty stoned.

Anyways, my mind gets pretty active and I'm wondering, other than the obvious effects of weed and smoking in general, what are the effects weed has on the body bodybuilding-wise. Can it hamper gains? Lessen the effects of juice? Interfere with recovery?

Couldn't find too much info that was conclusive so asking about it here.
 
As I sit here blazed out of my mind and drinking my protein/weight gainer shake, I say there is nothing wrong with smoking a little weed.

The positives of smoking weed, far outweigh the negatives... at least for me and my situation. :chomp:
 
I smoke bud once in awhile it doesn't really effect me or make me lazy it is some good bud what I do when I smoke bud I make sure I do something active. Like ill hit the speed bag high it is a great feeling. I have lifted high it really makes me focus and target those muscles. If you lift high you feel an intense burn mainly because you target the muscles so well. I would NOT recommend making weed part of your training regimen. Once in awhile is fine. Just like drinking once in awhile is fine. Id suggest if your going to drink to do it on FRIDAY thats what I do I mostly steer clear from alcohol .
 
theres alot of MF'n dopeheads in this thread. first off, getting high and working out is plain fuckin stupid. 2nd, coming off a high is worse for me than having a hangover.
 
Just my 2 cents... I've smoked weed almost daily for over 30 years with no ill effects. I don't drink because it makes me very aggressive. I only smoke at home after everything that I have to do for the day is over ( at least now.) Lifting while high would not work for me... I get too relaxed. But after a hard lift day... perfect.
