SUFFOLK, Va. (AP) - Former Virginia Tech quarterback Marcus Vick, tossed from the team for his on- and off-the-field actions, was charged Monday with three counts of brandishing a firearm, police said.

Vick, 21, surrendered at the Suffolk magistrate's office Monday and was later released on $10,000 bond, The Virginian-Pilot reported in its online edition.
The parents of a 17-year-old boy said Vick pointed a weapon at their son and two others during an altercation on Sunday, police spokeswoman Lt. D.J. George said.

Vick's lawyer, Larry Woodward, confirmed the arrest, but declined further comment.

Virginia Tech on Friday kicked Vick off the football team, citing the cumulative effects of numerous legal transgressions and his unsportsmanlike conduct in the Jan. 2 Gator Bowl, where he was caught on tape stomping on the left calf of an opponent.

Vick is the younger brother of Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick.

He will still get a shot at the NFL, but his draft status keeps slipping. They were saying earlier that he might go in the 4th, now I think that he's moved down to the very last round. Teams are going to look at this as an indication of how he behaves in an unstructured environment. They are going to be scared to throw away a draft pick on a troubled kid who isn't showing any signs of changing.

The sad thing is that he will probably get drafted and then get some money and then the real trouble will begin.

The best thing for him is to not make it to the NFL and he would have to find a way to support himself which will most likely be drug related and he winds up in jail away from society or even dead. Sad but most likely inevitable

Atlanta will take him. They promote Mike Vick there not championships. So Vick holds all the cards over Art Blank. He will probably go on the first day of the draft too. If the Falcons don't take him I don't know who will.
