SUFFOLK, Va. (AP) - Former Virginia Tech quarterback Marcus Vick, tossed from the team for his on- and off-the-field actions, was charged Monday with three counts of brandishing a firearm, police said.

Vick, 21, surrendered at the Suffolk magistrate's office Monday and was later released on $10,000 bond, The Virginian-Pilot reported in its online edition.
The parents of a 17-year-old boy said Vick pointed a weapon at their son and two others during an altercation on Sunday, police spokeswoman Lt. D.J. George said.

Vick's lawyer, Larry Woodward, confirmed the arrest, but declined further comment.

Virginia Tech on Friday kicked Vick off the football team, citing the cumulative effects of numerous legal transgressions and his unsportsmanlike conduct in the Jan. 2 Gator Bowl, where he was caught on tape stomping on the left calf of an opponent.

Vick is the younger brother of Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick.

He will still get a shot at the NFL, but his draft status keeps slipping. They were saying earlier that he might go in the 4th, now I think that he's moved down to the very last round. Teams are going to look at this as an indication of how he behaves in an unstructured environment. They are going to be scared to throw away a draft pick on a troubled kid who isn't showing any signs of changing.

LMAO, i lived in atlanta the past 4 years and when that story broke, you should have heard every ghetto piece of shit football fan deny that story and defend Ronny Meh hee Co! Saying its the racist media etc. Although the Atlanta Journal Constitutional also broke the story about how the woman who sued Meh Hee Co got a nice settlement out of court.

one of my good friends and fellow alumn from Miami (ohio) University (hes much older obviously) Terrence Moore is a senior editor for sports at the AJC and even he (off the record) has told me casually that Arthur Blank is NOT about winning, just making money like he did with Home Depot. He went on to tell me that he (Blank) understood the culture of "Hotlanta" and basically is exploiting the love of hip hop/sports culture. thats why the Hawks suck, the Falcons suck, yet both make money, and the Braves win every year with classy guys like Bobby Cox, but no one really cares or is up in an uproar when they exit in the first round every year

Ask any white or non-hip hop football fan in Atlanta who their favorite football team is and they will say University of Georgia (located in Athens folks)
