Anyone outside the US pick up Hell on Earth Part III?

Those of us in the US will have to wait until March 9th.

Manowar are far superior to any metal band 1980 and after.

Don't try to argue it. You will loose.

That's why no one has replied to this thread: Manowar leaves everyone speechless.

"Other bands play, Manowar kill!"

"Wimps and posers, leave the fucking hall."

As you were.

For some reason I could never really get into Manowar. Can't explain it. I have a few of their discs, but nothing ever stands out to me. I know they are big in Europe.

Up the Irons!

The greatest metal band of all time.

In the silence of the darkness when all are fast
Asleep I live inside a dream calling to your spirit
As a sail calls the wind, hear the angel sing
Far beyond the sun across the western sky
Reach into the blackness find a silver line
In a voice I whisper a candle in the night
We'll carry all our dreams on a single beam of light

Close your eyes, look into the dream
Winds of change will winds of fortune bring

Fly away to a rainbow in the sky gold is at the end
For each of us to find there the road begins
Where another one will end here the four winds
Know who will break and who will bend
All to be the master of the wind

Falling stars now light my way my life was
Written on the wind clouds above, clouds
Below high ascend the dream within
When the wind fills the sky the clouds will move
Aside there will be the road to all our dreams
For any day that stings two better days it brings
Nothing is as bad as it seems

Close your eyes, look into the dream
Winds of change will winds of fortune bring

Fly away to a rainbow in the sky gold is at the end
For each of us to find there the road begins
Where another one will end here the four winds
Know who will break and who will bend
All to be the master of the wind

Iv'e known of this band for so long and know there are so many followers that I can't understand why I have never heard one of their songs on the radio...Not even the Boneyard on XM sattelite.

Heavy Duty, how is the metal on XM?

Since I got XM I have never gone back to FM and never will. XM has two metal stations..The Boneyard and Liquid Metal. Liquid Metal has all the super hardcore stuff and The Boneyard is more like going back to the 80's wi9th Iron Maiden, Judas Priest The scorps, UFO , Dio, and every LA Hair band there ever was. In LA we use to have a station called KNAC..It's alot like that and just that station alone to me is worth the $8 bucks I pay a month or whatever I pay. No commercials. They have hour long features like "Shredders" which is all guitar shred like satch and vai..They have "The dark side of the Bone" which is all Euro music for an hour like Iron, Judas, Sabbath...They have "Ballad Salad" which is all metal Balad Music..and a bunch of other stuff.

Sweet! Looks like I need to get that hooked up in the Chevy rock box. I NEVER listen to radio around here and somtimes I'll just stare at all my cds trying to figure out what to take along.

Hell on Earth III has all (ALL) of the Manowar videos -- in DVD format!!

Gloves of Metal is the funniest video. Ever. I haven't seen one single person watch it without bursting out laughing.

Why are Manowar fans so brainwashed and demented?

LOL!!

K to everyone that likes Manowar.

This is, like, a secret hidden Manowar K thread or something.

Brothers of metal know no masters,
Metal's our religion, we take it to the grave.

Slayer... I dont think i need to provide and inductive proof to show that your calculations are off...or do I?

Slayer, although a very notable and influential band, will never hold a candle to either Manowar (or Iron Maiden, but that's neither here nor there).

I could easily prove Manowar's musical superiority with little effort. I will give the Jeff/Kerry guitar ability the upper hand, but Lombardo the Retardo's repetitive kick-snare and Tom's vocal, *ahem*,prowess leave much to be desired.

Slayer are a lot of things, but they are not the Kings of Metal. Other bands play, Manowar kill, HTH.

"Each day, you wake up and get out of bed knowing that there is shit waiting for you. Each day is a struggle, a battle and you must prepare for these battles, these wars. You have to be prepared. That is where the spirit of MANOWAR comes in. It is for everybody, both men and women, who have the fighting spirit. You either fight to win or your throw up your hands and admit that you are fucked" - Joey DeMaio.

settle down samoth.

I'd indulge in cradle of filth before manowar honestly.

Carcass is also better than Manowar.

CoF went downhill with Cruelty, and were unrecognizable after that album. Vempire and Dusk = absolute godly masterpieces.

Carcass are cool and all, but in terms of talent and metalness, none can compare. Except maybe Maiden, but anything before 1980 I define differently.

Dude, I bet you're a Hecate Enthroned fan, aren't ya? lolololololol

Both are pretty equal in their gayness.

Only thing Manowar has over Slayer is the vocalist, I'll give them that, Joey is a talented singer.

At least Hecate Enthroned is one step above.... uh..... um..... nevermind.

Blind Guardian > Manowar

Eric Joey, Joey Eric, close enough. What does Joey do again? I assumed vocalist considering how cocky he is. Shows how much I listen to Manowar. Hell... even....

Persuader > Manowar

And Persuader only has two albums out and the second one isn't that great.

They have progressed greatly since then, Eric did an excellent cover of the Italian Opera classic Nessun Dorma on their last full-length Warriors of the World.

Oh, sorry PuddleDunkie, what was that about talent? Sorry, "good music" you say, just like Blind Guardian's first however-many-albums before Imaginations, those were all godly  . And I have 'em all, too. Wanna buy any?

Wimps and posers... LEAVE THE HALL!!

:cow:

Here our soldiers stand from all around the world
Waiting in a line to hear the battle cry
All are gathered here, victory is near
The sound will fill the hall, bringing power to us all

We alone are fighting for metal that is true
We own the right to live the fight, we're here for all of you
Now swear the blood upon your steel will never dry
Stand and fight together beneath the battle sky

[Chorus:]
Brothers everywhere - raise your hands into the air
We're warriors, warriors of the world
Like thunder from the sky - sworn to fight and die
We're warriors, warriors of the world

Many stand against us, but they will never win
We said we would return and here we are again
To bring them all destruction, suffering and pain
We are the hammer of the gods, we are thunder, wind and rain.

There they wait in fear with swords in feeble hands
With dreams to be a king, first one should be a man
I call about and charge them all with a life that is a lie
And in their final hour they shall confess before they die

[Repeat chorus]

If I should fall in battle, my brothers who fight by my side
Gather my horse and weapons, tell my family how I died
Until then I will be strong, I will fight for all that is real
All who stand in my way will die by steel

Brothers everywhere - raise your hands into the air
We're warriors, warriors of the world

[Repeat chorus to fade]

"'True Metal' is music that's true to the style of classic Heavy Metal. It's not diluted. It's not pussied out. It's not wimped out. It's played from the heart, 100 percent."

"This is what we do. And if you like it, good. If not, go fuck yourself."

"We play Metal pure, you know. We don't play radio bullshit. We don't suck ass."

"We just live the part of Metal, you know. We are here to rock, drink and fuck. And that's it. The power is in the music."

[On how he would like to be remembered] "Somebody who never compromised their music and their integrity. And never screwed their fans. Somebody who always delivered Metal, and melted people's faces at maximum power."

"I know that a lot of people are against us. But they can get fucked and eat shit and die. Manowar are here to show everybody else that Metal will live on. "

Civilization crumblin' fast
End the world with a blast
People afraid walking the streets
Scums have their day
'Til they run into me
Are you ready?
Livin' in fear ain't livin' to me
I'am armed with a gun defending the free
They blew it in Nam shot up my friends
I'm back in the streets the fight never ends
I was born with a gun in my hand
I'll die for my country
But I'll die like a man
Violence and Bloodsheed
Violence and Bloodsheed
Violence and Bloodsheed
Now we're back to animal law
The payback's a bitch and I'm paying all
All my life I been waitin'to see
Who's gonna win crumbs or me
Are you ready
My brother's still in Da-Nang
Puttin'an ad in the back of Kerrang
I'm looking for people who just wanna kill
We'll go back the Nam cause no one else will
Land of the free
Home of the brave
Now that's how it is
And that's how it stays
Violence and Bloodsheed
Violence and Bloodsheed
Violence and Bloodsheed

Dude, how could you forget Violence and Bloodshed from ... shit, what was the name of that album?

Manowar fans look and act like normal human beings, having their regular jobs, families etc. But as soon as the first notes of a Manowar song comes out of the speakers, they turn into crazy, muscular, masked barbarians that rape and plunder everything in their way, smiting the opposers of true heavy metal!

Lol

Jokes aside, its the way Manowar manage to make such an over-the-top attitude look, feel and sound legit and from the heart.
They are the best!

Onwards pounding into glory ride,
Sign of the hammer be MY GUIDE!

Manowar's newest long awaited release, Gods of War, will be available 4/3/07 in the U.S. and 2/26/07 in Europe!

Manowar's newest EP, The Sons of Odin, is currently available!

Unfortunetly, Manowar strictly copywrite their images, so the only place to see the full artwork for Gods of War is on their official site, www.manowar.com.

And for 10,000 karma points, who can tell me what ancient language Manowar used for the writing on the coverart of Gods of War?

Also just released late last year is Manowar's fifth (sixth if you Eric Adam's bow hunting video) DVD, The Day The Earth Shook - The Absolute Power .

Amazon.com description of their newest video:

"On July 23rd of 2005, Manowar headlined the Earthshaker Fest 2005. This performance was a unique historical event as it included a grand finale featuring Manowar members past and present on stage as one powerful, heavy metal legion, as well as an epic set up with a 200-piece choir and orchestra. The majesty and emotion of this event and the overwhelming reaction of more than 25 000 fans in attendance serves as a fantastic example of the preeminence that Manowar embodies.
Accompanying this spectacular concert, the Manowar Mega Fan Convention itself was something to marvel at. Thousands of fans from countries across the globe converged on Geiselwind, Germany for three days of Manowar festivities. After witnessing the devotion and commitment of Manowar's fans, it is obvious why the band attests to having "the greatest fans in the world."

Their first headliner DVD recording, The Day The Earth Shook - The Absolute Power contains over 6 hours of footage, filmed in full 5.1 sound with 27 HD cameras and comes housed in a unique multiflap digipak with 12 page booklet."

Hail and kill!

The new album only has one good song. wtf? This bands following is way too loyal. If a band starts to suck more and moreas time goes on then they need to be called out on it.

You've been brainwashed!

Never!

BTW, I got Manowar's most recent single and fifth DVD last week. The second disc in the DVD has the footage from the first annual int'l Manowar fan club, with, like, an hour of Medieval Times-style amature swordplay and reenactment! The first DVD has Manowar's Earthshaker show in front of 25K fans in HD (26 HD cams = over 100 Tb's!!!), a 100-member philharmonic orchestra, a 100-member philharmonic choir, and FOH sound levels over 108 dB! Joey was awarded a doctorate in music from a national university for his recent work as well. Manowar calling out Wagner's relative was great, lol.

Hail and kill!

MANOWAR Vocalist Eric Adams Commits Suicide [Of course this is a joke article, we all know that Gods cannot die]

Manowar bass player, Joey Demaio, made a startling announcement on Monday, stating that a member of the metal brotherhood, lead vocalist Eric Adams, had commited suicide early Saturday morning when he found out that he had a friend who is not into metal.

"At first I thought the whole friend thing just a silly rumor," Joey said in the comfort of his completely leather clad home of big tittied metal bitches, "but when we finally confronted him, we learned the sad truth. I am here to announce a sad loss to the Manowar Brotherhood. Eric Adams, our former lead vocalist of 12 years had a friend who is not into heavy metal… and now Eric is dead."

Reports of those close to the band said Eric first met the cause of all this grief, Frank Fitts, at the Sacramento bar, Harleys and Bitches, during Manowar's recent tour of the west coast. "He seemed like a really great guy," explained Manowar tour manager and lead gaffer, Jim Hoover, "he said he loved to rock, drink and fuck and that's what Manowar's all about."

"Oh, fuck yeah," the saddened ex-vocalist echoed this sentiment in his final interview before killing himself, "he sure knew how to drink and fuck and we'd go to all these bars and fuck all these big tittied women. How was I to know? Man, those were some great nights. Heavy metal rules!!!"

Things reportedly got a little suspicious when during one night of drinking and fucking, Frank wore a Jethro Tull T-shirt. "I remember that night very well," said Manowar guitarist Karl Logan, "we were all drinking and fucking at the Backdoor Leather Bitches Saloon and hear comes Frank walking in with this fucking Tull shit on. I, of course, was instantly offended, but Eric didn't seem to mind so much. So, I fucking went off on him. I told that there's heavy metal or no metal all, and if Frank was into that flutey-hippy Tull shit, he was a wimp and a poser and he'd better just leave the bar."

"What can I say, I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt," defended Eric. "Man, the way he filled out those tight leather pants, I figured the dude had to be metal. And besides, fans send me all kinds of fucked up shit and maybe someone just gave him the shirt and maybe he in got dressed in the dark or something." The situation reportedly came to a head when the lead singer visited Frank's house.

"Yeah, we were out drinking and fucking one night and rode our Harley to Frank's place. I knew if I could just sneak a peak at his CD collection I would know for sure. We were just hanging on his leather couch and I decided to force the issue. I was like Frank, you seem like a cool guy and I know you like to drink and fuck, but I'm in the mood to fucking rock man. Crank up that stereo of yours man and let's melt our faces off. Heavy metal kicks ass!!!"

"Frank put in a Pink Floyd CD," said Manowar drummer Scott Columbus with a smirk. "I fucking knew he was a wimp and a poser and that was also the time we knew Eric had to leave the band." Which, in Manowar, is no small task. "When you're part of Manowar, you're in for life," explained Joey Demaio. "We signed our record contract in blood and Manowar is not just a band, it's a way of life. The only way out of this brotherhood is to die. Joey committed high treason in this heavy metal government and he had to leave. But we loved him like a brother and therefore offered him a respectable heavy metal suicide." On Friday night lead singer reportedly turned in his leather cod piece to the band and on Saturday morning the lead singer was found dead after he and his Harley Chopper were found crashed into the side of the Harleys and Bitches Bar and Grill. Pinned to his leather jacket was this suicide note, which FuBARM obtained from our resourceful columnists:

Hail to thee my metal brethren! If you are reading this, I have ridden my Harley to the big titty bar in the sky. For I had done a terrible thing. I had a friend who was not into heavy metal and in doing so, I have failed all that is Manowar. Frank seemed nice enough, but let this just be a lesson: wimps and posers can be well disguised as cool metal dudes. Learn from my lesson and ostracize everyone you know until they are into heavy metal and worthy of your friendship. You never know who might be a wimp and poser in disguise! Keep drinking and fucking! Long live Heavy Metal!!!

When asked about Manowar's future, Karl Logan was confident. "There's not one vocalist on this planet who wouldn't get on they're hands and knees and beg to be in this band. We are the greatest band on the planet and death to false metal." When asked about how they could possibly be serious because they really are the cheesiest metal band on the planet and are only famous in Europe, a country who loves Kylie Monogue, Joey Demaio replied, "Death to thee metal poser!!! All other bands play, Manowar kill!!!"

When asked if killing was wrong, Joey replied, "shut up."

Editorial Review:

"Manowar is a band that has set standards, broken records and won great accolades during its storied career. Known to their worldwide supporters as the "Kings Of Metal", the band has constantly redefined heavy metal by combining peerless musicianship and song writing with their undeniable commitment to true metal and their devoted fans. The band has always made the solemn pledge to create original music that is louder than hell and stronger than steel. The long standing lineup of vocalist Eric Adams, guitarist Karl Logan, drummer Scott Columbus and bassist Joey DeMaio is truly a force to be reckoned with in the studio and on stage. In addition they are the originators of the musical styles known as power metal and true metal.
As Manowar now prepares to unveil their tenth studio album, expectations from fans are higher than ever and Manowar are sure to exceed those expectations. The new album Gods Of War is Manowar's first entry in a cycle of concept albums; each a tribute to a different war god. Gods Of War brings out the greatest of Manowar's musical attributes by utilizing both epic song structures and dramatic narratives. Much like Ragnarok - the final battle at the end of the world - when listening to Manowar's epic saga, the earth will shake, the walls will crumble and only true fans of metal will remain standing, heads held high, with the triumphant glimmer of a battle well-fought in their eyes.

Gods Of War features brand new cover artwork by the world's leading fantasy artist Ken Kelly, as well as a scorching mix done by the unparalleled Ronald Prent.

Besides the normal Jewel Case version, Gods Of War will also be released as a limited edition in an embossed metal slipcase containing a high grade mediabook bound in leather.Furthermore, this limited edition will feature a bonus DVD with unreleased material about the making of this album and some special behind-the-scenes footage. A double-vinyl LP in a gatefold sleeve will also be available.

In their career Manowar has released 9 studio albums, two live albums and 5 DVDs with sales of over nine million records worldwide, as well as silver and gold records and numerous other industry awards. The last studio album Warriors Of The World was a critically-acclaimed worldwide chart topper, reaching gold status in Germany."
