maintenance?

Somewhere, someone has done research on this. It's been a while since I've reviewed it, but I seem to recall once or twice per week stimulation of the entire body (in the weightroom, not the bedroom) at high intensity and low volume will maintain muscle. Of course, it still assumes your diet and recovery are adequate for maintenance, as well.

Eat maintenance calories, workout, rest.

Thanks for the help, but i know that i was looking for specifics and really what i wanted to know is how much you should have to workout? I was thinking maybe each body part 1 hour a week would do it with all the right calories and everything?

I would look at your current volume and level of intensity.(avg %1RM)

Try to maintain the frequency which is key in my opinion.

Too big a fall in volume with no change in intensity will over time lead to less muscle particularly if calories are lowered. Keeping calories high will slow the process down.

I was just wondering this and yeah this is what i figured, but i thought maybe there was some sorta chart out there ive never seen. I don't plan on doing it until i hit my lifting goals which might be better, but who knows stuff comes up.

no, no charts. its individual. based on your metabolism and body's need for what you have. remember: if you don't use it...you lose it.
