LxK - Muay Thai vs. JKD

How do these two arts measure up? I'm sure there are vast difference, but I would like to know the opinions of those here as to which art is overall more functional.

JKD includes groundfighting. 'Nuff said.

JKD can include standu up (Muay Thai) ground (BJJ) and even weapons (Kali, Schrima, Philipino Stick fighting)... You won't be an expert at any of these but you can get pretty good at all of them...

BTW- Some of the JKD schools can be a ripoff. I think SBGi is the best option right now.

any style can have ripoff schools

if you wanted practicallity probubly JKD because it has superior options
but if you wanted to be a competitive Kickboxer then obviously go with kickboxing
