Lunges Vs Squats - Which IS Harder and Which Does More?

I would assume squats' effects on GH levels would be greater than lunges simply because you are using both legs simultaneously, you can train much heavier with squats, and they demand more recruitment of stabilizer muscles.

Lunges are a good mass builder for quads but you can't challenge the king of free-weight exercises.
 
Lunges, squats, leg press, leg extensions.....That's a killer quad workout. You will have monster wheels in no time. After my quad workout I have a hard time walking up and down stairs. LOL.
 
definately love squats,but i also add in things like leg presses ,hacks....i always do squats and change up my other exercises every couple weeks....
