Lowes Blows

the lowes home improvement store here in new orleans must be the worst store in the entire chain.

their bookkeeping system is sloppy, their employees are rude, untrained and unwilling.

they oversell merchandise and offer no excuse when the delivery date comes and goes with nothing delivered.

i have been trying since last june to get them to issue me a credit to my lowe's account for appliances that were purchased right before hurricane katrina devistated new orleans and were not (of course) delivered the first week of september (august 29th katrina arrrived).

it will be a cold day in blood hell before lowes ever gets one penny of my earnings.

I have had the same problem with the Lowes and Home Depot in my area. The employee there are not hardly willing to help you at all. Try to find one even..they are no where to be found. I once finally found one talking on the phone trying to hook himself up a date!!! Since both my area stores suck I have no choice sometimes but to give them my money. There are times you need things that you can only get there.

They aren't called Home Improvement "Warehouses" because of thier
outstanding customer service offerings.

I rarely need to ask for help, other than loading 30 bags of mulch in the truck.

Everyone is cutting back on staff these days.

It's a shame, but the mega chains (Lowes and Home Depot) are quickly putting the locally owned Servistar and Ace Hardware places out of business. If you've ever done any do-it-yourself plumbing work or rebuilt a vehicle from the ground up and wanted to use only stainless nuts, bolts, washers, etc. you know exactly what I'm talking about. The mega's don't have the supplies and, even if they did, you can't find anyone on the floor that knows a damn thing about the stuff.

Why can't you turn it over to the credit card company? They have a department that will deal with it once you fill out their affadavit?

i have, i did.........their response is that since the credit card comapny and lowes are two separate enitites; the refund must come from the lowes store.

My dad bought a new washer and dryer on Monday and had it delivered. The paper work and the legs to the dryer were not inside the machine like they were supposed to be so I called Lowes to see about getting the paperwork...No answer!!! Called 4 times and let the phone ring at least 10 times each. My dad got in his truck and took a ride. Needless to say...he got his paperwork and won't be shopping (allowed) at Lowes again.

Not that anyone cares, but I actually built the racks in a few lowes stores in my area.. Easy money! I get my propane tanks filled there and thats it..

The Home Depots in Atlanta all offer really exceptional customer service, but this is also the hometown of HD so they're probably under more scrutiny from the home office. Authur Blank is a super nice guy. Very nice man, and very generous. He just gave us the world's largest aquarium. He actually goes into HD store's still and puts on the vest and works sometimes.

The Lowe's are all friendly too, which is essential since we'll all just go to HD if they werent.

You guys should seriously call the home office here and let them know the customer service in other states is ass sucky. I'm sure they'd want to know.

ahh the workers at lowes are prob just tired of sleeping behind the store waiting for a insurance check or fema to fix their house so dont be to hard on them .
