lower leg tightness after squating

so my lower leg has been stiff now for a few days after squating. and now today when i went to the gym i could feel it on every rep.
it seems to run from just below my knee down my shin bone.
i noticed that im having a bit of a balance issue and the leg that is effected is my dominate leg. i also thought maybe i wasnt sitting back enough or dropping down in the hole too fast.
i know its impossible to diagnose without a video but the technique issues i mentioned above are common, and i was thinking that my leg siffness was comonly associated with such problems.

its because you are flexing your foot up wards when you sit back on your heels.

ill keep that in mind for my next squat session thanks.
it might be time for some oly shoes. most people here would think my shoes are pathetic. they are probably the exact opposite of a good squat shoe

flexing your foot upward means you have tight soleus, gastrocs and ankles

I get that feeling too when I stretch the shit out of em :)

I've read that shin tightness can come about due to too much tension in the calves. I sometimes suffer from shin cramps and aches and have found relief in stretching out my calves.

did you just start running and doing cardio? sounds shin splints to me.

This is a new one for me. I've never heard of it! Does anyone else have experience with tight shins from squatting?
