Lower back pain

So my lower back has been in pain the last few days. At first I just thought my muscles were sore, then I lifted yesterday and today it hurts worse.

The pain is not horrible. I can still function fine I just wince every once in a while depending on what I'm doing. Its more irritating than anything.

Anyways, is there an easy way to tell if this is just sore muscles vs something more serious?

interesting. did you feel it while training? can you move around easily? its not strange for the muscles to be sore the next day after training if they were already sore. did you do new exercises (deads, squats, standing push press, etc)? probably a very minor strain but since its in the lower back it effects alot of simple movements.

no, When I was lifting yesterday I didn't notice it at all. Nothing new, I did do more weighted decline situps than normal, with a heavier weight(25lbs up from 10lbs).

wait it out and see what happens. if its muscular, it will go away in a few days. if it doesnt, see a chiropractor.

If you wince in pain from moving your back you should at least see a chiropractor.
