Low dose "HRT" suppressive? (crossposted)

Is 100 mg/week Test + 100 mg/week EQ suppressive, esp. in a 55 yr.-old male? This is week 11. Recently added 250iu HCG + 10mg Nolva eod. There was no "shrinkage" before. Have used AIFM and adex since the start. Considering going off but really like the results and would stay on if possible. Seems to be some conflict about this. Many have said that low-dose EQ is a waste but I have experienced good improvement in CV at this doseage.

Thanks, -1crow

as long as your putting testosterone in your body, you body wont need to make testosterone, so it will be supressive. thats one reason tapering down dosen't work.

Tapering down can help depending on the dose and ester and reasons behind doing it.

Consider someone who is running 2g of test enan per week over, say, 10 weeks and starts his pct two to three weeks after the last injection. The first week or two of his PCT would be completely wasted due to high-levels of sill-circulating exogenous test. Also consider that he will have crashed his daily levels by a factor of around 50 over the space of a month. He'll be a very unhappy juicer.

Consider the same guy who tapers down over a period of a month to running 500mg or less per week. Not only will the crash be much less when he comes off but he'll be starting PCT at roughly the right time.

I'd agree that anyone tapering from a small dose to an even smaller one is probably not doing anything worthwhile. The best way to finish a higher-dosed cycle is probably to switch to short-acting esters and control things on a finer time-scale.
