lost 11lbs so far after 13 days

i think thanksgiving probably put me back about 3 days or so, as not only did i glutton over the meat, but also the carbs. i sorta wish i didn't have thanksgiving this year. i have 15/16 more days to go before winter break. i just started taking ripped fuel yesterday, too, at 6 pills a day divided into 3 doses.

today i also did my first session of meltdown training at the gym. holy crap, it kicked my ass!!! i have never had my ass handed to me so hard in the gym; i felt so horrible after i finished. it was a real short session. it took me about 25 minutes, though the first session shouldn't take more than 20 minutes.

i am thinking of dropping my calories another 100-200 also from the 1800 or so that i am eating currently.

i sure hope i see some abs!

my diet is a ketogenic diet (modelled, but not exactly, from the t-dawg diet from t-mag).

i started off with 30 g carb (first thing in the morning), 135 g protein, and 155g fat for the first few days (which is about 2100 calories), then i cut the carbs all together. after about 5 or 6 days i cut it down to to 135g protein and 135g fat (which is 1755 calories. in addition to that i have been consuming a 40g protein and 40g carb drink post workout. the 40g carb post workout have been the only carbs i've been consuming and they are necessary to replace muscle glycogen stores to prevent atrophy.

i am think i will probably drop my calories (within the next day or two) to 1500 and do that by keeping the protein intake the same and dropping fat. the last week i will probably drop another 150 calories, but how much i do drop will depend on my progress at that point.

11 lbs in 13 days? your losing muscle

probably a little. it's hard not to loose anything. but there is gonna be a significant amount of water weight that i have lost since it is a keto diet and there are no carbs. that could easily account for the half of the weight i lost, though i won't ever know for sure. the first week i lost 7lbs. the second week i lost 4 lbs. i don't believe i've lost much muscle if at all. make what you want of it.

why do you want to lose fat so quickly? take your time you save muscle in the process

i don't have much time until winter break. i'm willing to sacrifice a little muscle as i continue to further restrict my calories because i know i will get it back quickly with just eating after winter break.

Why are you so set upon winter break?
You know, if it was summer vacation and you wanted to spend it on the beach i would understand, but winter?

Any tail worth having would look beyond the circumference of your ass.

I was a good girl on Thanksgiving, but I gave in to the siren call tonight of the leftover homemade chocolate mousse cake that's been cooling its heels in my freezer. It was damn good, probably the best thing I've eaten all year. God bless r-ALA. :p

during winter break, i will be seeing people i haven't seen in a whole year (including my mother and one of my sisters). oh, and i will be on the beach, sucka! buahahahahah. so weasel is right; i already have tail lined up (or, can you make that two tails...simultaneously?), but that doesn't mean i can't go get more! ;)

i just measured my arms and have only lost an eigth of an inch, which helps to confirm that muscle loss thus far has been minimal.

i dropped my calories to 1600 as of today. i am hungry! :( i don't remember the last time that i was consistently eating so little food...

my strength in the gym isn't noticably down yet, so that is a good thing. :)

i decided to use meltdown training 2xwk and my own strength routine 2xwk so that i don't lose a significant amount of strength, which is would occur with meltdown only since the weights used a relatively light.

what are your stats at now?

yesterday when i weighed myself i weighed 164. started at 175 which is as big as i have gotten. my arms were just 15" before i started my diet. i started the semester at 158-160lbs. i will probably be back down to 160 by the weekend, but i will be stronger and much leaner than i was at the start of the semester. this means i will still have a somewhat significant amount of more muscle than before. :D i'd also like to say that i believe that a significant amount of that 11 lbs is water weight...probably 7-8lbs, but of course i really don't know for sure. i still have a bit of fat to lose, but the 4 pack is coming out. i say bring it on, as i will only learn from the experience.
