Bros, eating this much is a bitch. 173, eating 3840 calories a day roughly. Only a glass of milk before bed as a treat with some whey protein. Other than that, all water, no dairy, solid clean calories. Oats everywhere. Ground up, disgusting flax seeds. Steak, tuna, and chicken. Almonds. Uch.

Someone give me a swift kick in the ass so I don't give up, 'cuz sometimes I just feel like passing out, not staying on my regimented little schedule, waking up at 3:15 in the afternoon and eating some hardcore Taco Bell. :chomp:
 
Stick with it bro. I have just started allowing myself one cheat day a week as long as I have made sufficient progress during the other 6 days AND I haven't had ANY cheat food on any of them.
 
Come on dude thats not that much food ... think of how much bigger and stronger it will make you!

You can't handle it, ah? Well, not everyone can, maybe your not cut out for this game. Maybe you should just give up, and eat all the junk food you really want to get your hands on. Maybe looking like a tub of lard is what you really want to do with your self. Is that what you want? Do you always quit so easily? yeah, well, like I said, maybe this isn't for you, OR IS IT??? :rolleyes:

Dairy is not your enemy when bulking bro......quit being so damn clean and eat your ass off.....when you see the gains come, your motivation will come back too...it's a bitch going to the gym day after day and not making gains.......EAT, eat clean, BUT EAT......milk, dairy, nuts, beef, eggs,....dont be afraid of the occasional pizza, big ass footlong chicken sub,....you know the drill........

Yeah, I'm seeing this come from you and I'm like "what the hell?" :roll eyes:. Seriously though, dairy wouldn't be as clean would it? I mean, 13 grams of sugar carbs in milk. And I cut out my old favorites - PB&J sandwiches. Easy 500 calories...650 with a big glass of milk. Damn. I should just eat some tasty stuff. I've just gotten obsessed with being...healthy, I guess, in the past month or two.

Good old days when I used to drink 5-6 glasses of milk. Easy cals and protein there.

Yeah. Maybe I'll start doing that. Fuck. I can't take 10 cups of oats a day...or whatever it is I'm eating. x.X Maybe that's why I'm giving up. It's too strict, and too bland.

maybe you can jazz up those oats somehow, the chicken, tuna, ect too.

Go out and buy a 10 lb bag of instant potatoes. Make sure you eat them early in the day though. High glycemic.
 
Tommy - I'm not sure where you got the idea that oats are the best carb source out there, so that means you have to only incorporate them ito your diet, idea, but it's wrong. You need variety. You do not want to eat the same food source day in and day out, as you are missing many key elements (vits, minls,etc) associated with other foods. 1-2 cups of oats is PLENTY. Incorporate whole grain or flax bread, whole wheat pasta, yams, VEGGIES, and you'll be on your way....like I said, it's nearly impossible to bulk cleanly the entire time........you are 17 years old with a roaring metabolism.....EAT!

Think of food as fuel for your body, because that's what it is...not something pleasurable/fun/something to do when bored, etc. Society today has too many darn emotions and social interactions centered around food and eating, and that's why people are so darn fat.
 
Put your nose to the grind and eat. At your age you will be light years ahead of everyone in the future if you stick to it now.
 
I dont know, I used to come from the school of thought that said EAT EAT EAT. Hell, I even preached it here many times. But I've done a 180 since then, so to speak. Our bodies are not garbage disposals. We need to be conscious of what we eat all year, not just one season (cutting season). It's so much easier to cut when the majority of your gains were lean in the off-season. Now, I'm not saying not to indulge. Do so, but be smart about it. Take pizza - what the fuck is it? Bread, tomato paste, cheese, and pepperonis. There's no advantage there, except to keep sane. So indulge every so often, but don't make it a habit. You need to keep the calories clean and eat a lot of those foods. Yeah, I used to eat PB+J all the fucking time when I bulked. But I had to pay the price when cutting season came around. There's this belief that bulking is easy, and how you can eat whatever you want. Bullshit. Nothing's easy, you just gotta work hard.
 
Don't give up brotha I know how you feel. I've been trying for months to get my ass from 129 to 160 lbs. 4 months later and I'm only at 135 but damn I've been learning a lot along the way. Makin mistakes, reading till my eyes burned.. it's ╒uki∩ frustrating sometimes but dude it's all worth it in the end.

It's about 4,500-5,000 cals......high protein and kraft mac/cheese by the box.....you gotta eat big to get big, sure a little kick helps, but it is very possible to put on the weight without it..............
 
Damn that's a lot of cals! Heh I haven't eaten kraft mac/cheese in a long time. Maybe I'll go buy a couple boxes and have a bowl here and there as a snack
 
Hang on...let me clarify....needsize is an exception in many ways.....trains to be a pro.....has great genetics...and the help of his.....ummm....daughter. lol
 
LOL. I dont think I'm blessed with good genetics. According to MrX's guide, I need to be consuming 2700 cals per day
