Loosing Hair

Ok so my hair has kinda sorta been falling out for the past 3 years or so. I think it might be partially cause of my allergy medicine but I get sick if I dont take it, I also took acutane when I was younger and have naturally high levels of testoterone.. and my grandfather and uncle were both totally bald... so yea I'm totally screwed. Anyone have any reccomendations as far as treatment that might actually work. I havent really tried anything yet but I'm thinking rogaine is the first step? Looking for info, reccomendations of products thanks!

what kind of allergy meds do you take? i am also on very strong allergy meds and i am losing my hair at a young age.

Avodart (dutasteride) is the strongest DHT blocker available. Worked for me.

Diamond: regardless of the reasons you are losing your hair, it doesn't really matter! Many, Many people find bald just more than sexy..downright sexual. When I had hair, I took it for granted. When I started loosing it, I went through all kinds of shit in my mind (head didn't seem to be the exact word to use)...ugly was how I felt. I even went as far as a transplant! VERY STUPID, I found out too late, and well after having spent many $1000 on such a stupid thing. I became very popular (much more so than when I had hair) after I was balding/bald. Do you think it an accident that so many men are wearing their heads shaved? I don't think so either. Do I look better with hair than without...probably, at least in my eyes. Do I spend one cent or one minute worrying about it? NOT ANYMORE. If I had hair today, I would probably shave it of, knowing what I know now....get over it and move on to something important. This all sounds hollow to you, as it did to me when I was going through the same thing.

Diamond get on Propecia or Dutaseride and rogaine ASAP, retain as much as you can for future breakthroughs (e.g. hair multiplication HT, etc).

propecia is a good way to go.
reason: Many drug plans wont cover hairloss, however.....
Propecia is a 5mg tablet for prostate cancer, hover if you cut it into 4 with a pill cutter, you get 1.25 mg ballpark. and propecia for hairloss is a 1mg a day tablet. Tadda!!!! Money and hair both saved!
