Hey everyone, Im a 19/Male, I'm very very thin (Ectomorph) and looking to start a workout program to gain SIZE. I've read several books sofar gathering info. I will be doing very high intensity, 4 days a week. I will be taking 5grams of creatine powder everyday as well as a lot of Protein, fat, calories (4000+) and carbs. (Partially from Myoplex shakes) Thats about it, Any advice or changes or if it sounds good I'd really appreciate it.. thanks!

Diet is the most important factor when it comes to gaining or losing weight.

Get on a diet and stay consistant with it. Don't try to substitute protien shakes all day for real food.

Stay focused and dedicated. You won't see results overnight but down the road hard work always pays off. Good luck dude.

?

Spoken like a real man lift or Die.

I was the same size as you when I went in the military, I started a workout program and a diet from hell.

Six months later little had changed, everyone told me to quit because genetically I wasn't meant to get big.

I almost believed it :(

Two months after that I started to see gains almost weekly, it takes time but it will happen!

I have freinds that there second month in the gym started using gear, they to this day have no understanding of the mental benefits of working out because they took the easy road.

The first time you are out at a club or a bar and some girl wants you just because of the way you look, all the hard work and sacrifice will be WELL worth it.

Good Luck!

i LIFT for myself...not saying that lifting for girls is bad...but i do it so satisfy myself.

self improvment is the key, and that rule goes into my daily life also...just think of ways to better yourself WITHOUT hurting those around you....

Dont go rob a bank and kill someone so that YOU have money....thats not what im talking about?

Diet is a nice focus especially for ectomorphs but training is key.

Bench, Squat, Deadlift

Longer bone structures common in ecto's tend to really benefit from the full deadlift (not stiff legged variety - the real powerlifting exercise).

Keep reps 4-8 range and nothing over 10.

You can build a great physique off just these lifts. Don't complicate it - practice them and try to get better. You can throw some other stuff on top but make sure these are core.
