Looking for the truth

So I was in the gym today to do an average leg day. Now usually I am not one to be concerned what other think but after finishing squats on the smith I heard, from some average sized guys that had been watching me (that is a whole other topic) "For the size of that guy he is pretty weak." For some reason this hit me wrong. He is what I was doing...

Smith Squat (plates per side)
1x15
2x12
3x10
3x10
3.5x8
4x6
3x6
1x6

I know it sounds petty but is this not a lot of weight?

It's all relative , check out the squat max# thread... thats warmup weight to some of the larger guys here lol.

But who cares, if you're bigger than him I wouldn't give a damn about it. If the guy's an average gym dork then he probably can't squat his bw for reps

Don't let some gym punk determine your mood. If you let it get to you, it can affect your lifts, attitude, mood, and behavior. I have heard alot of people say things in order to boost their own self esteem.

Remember, you can't make your light brighter by putting someone elses out.

on most smith machines that equals about 375. which is pretty good. what was your range of motion like?

though its no one's place to judge your workout, there could be a subtle hint there. or they could be jackasses. if you feel you are lacking in your squats, in some way(range of motion ie. 1/4 squats), then take it as constructive criticism (delivered with poor tact). if you are spot on in how you are doing things, chalk it up to a comment by some idiots. :)

Well it really depends on how much you weigh??? How much you train and how much motion range there is. I think the smith squat is easy because you don't need to balance the weight, but anything over 325 on your back I feel is decent
