I don't have enough time right now to get to the gym. My apartments have a weight room but not free weights. What are some good workouts to do around the house? I do pushups, situps, and chairdips. I have a set of 20,25, and 35lb dumbells. What are some good ways to put use to them besides curls, and flys?

Find somewhere to do chinups...
You can vary your grip and target different muscles...
get a backpack and fill it with weight and do weighted pushups...
Thats all i can think of right now

Hey Cybernigg. You can do quite a few different exercises with dumbbells. Dumbbell Rows for back, Shoulder Presses, Side Dumbbell Laterals, Bent over laterals, Tricep Kickbacks, Overhead Tricep extensions.....shall i go on? You may have to invest in some heavier dumbbells though.

Well the dumbells that I have can change in weight. At the most I could make one weight around 65lbs if that will help.

What would you recommend for weight?

Whats up PH1977? Haven't seen you around lately. What can I use for squats around the house?:fro:

Been all over the place actually. Hectic time for me brother.
I wouldn't use any weights on one legged squats until you feel totally comfortable with the isolation movement. Lunges and step ups are great though. Ever do wall sits? Sit with your back against the wall and maintain a 90 degree angle with your knees. Try to go as long as you can and take the pain. Each time thereafter try to increase 5-10 seconds on your time. How you been bro? :D

I've been cool. Life just getting harder, and money getting tighter. Thanks for the info bro. I hope this stuff works until I get more time and money for the gym.

Thanks to everyone that gave some helpful advice.
