Looking for routine with 5+ workouts a week

Well, you've already proved your strength is getting better on 5x5, (stimulus for growth) add in a calorie intake each day and youre looking at some good muscle growth. Part of this may be that I'm partial to 5x5 (I currently am on, and keep a log on here), but you've already proved to yourself that it's working with your increase in lifts over a 2 month period, so I don't see a reason to switch it up. Good luck to you whatever you decide though! Keep us updated!
 
I'd have to agree with ZgzaZ. I started around 145lbs 2 years ago. 6days a week was no sweat, was in the gym for a huge amount of time, but sadly very little results. I went for a 2 mile run every day, spents hours in the gym, and didn't understand why I couldn't put on any muscle.

Just start eating more. When you think you're full, wait an hour, eat some more. Once your lifts start getting heavier, you will be buried with too much volume. Deadlifts kill my back now, even switching to sumo stance, my hips hurt for a few days. You will be glad for the time off, just keep with your current routine.

Use your 'extra' time to eat, sleep and read about training.

It shouldn't be hard for you to gain weight at 135, you simply need to up your calorie intake. Your lifts all went up on 8 weeks on 5x5, why are you trying to fix something that isnt broken? Not to mention, you didnt gain weight in 2 months on a 3 day split, youre going to be burning up more on a 5 day split, and definately will keep you from gaining weight, you probably will even lose some.

My advice would be to forget a 5 day split, stick to 5x5 and up your calorie intake...besides once you get your strength up some more, you won't think you can do more on your off days, you'll be focused on recovering from the previous workouts. GL

Real solid advice. I was thinking the same thing when I saw his bodyweight at 135 on both sets of lifts. At the rate he is gaining strenght, adding more food with no other changes would probably yield rapid hypertrophy.
