I have two sons in football and need help getting them faster.ones a kicker and the other is third string QB.I have them doing sprints and plyo's and eating right {or as right as you can get a teen to eat}.Money will be an issue so I just can't go out and buy a sled or shoes and other stuff i have seen .anything to help out I have tried alot but just looking to mix it up a little.

I'm not too knowledgable about plyos and speed work, but since you did mention you can't afford a sled, why not build one?

For many programs, a sled may not be affordable to purchase. However, they are very simple to build. But you can easily improvise instead of building one. All that is really needed is a place to add ewight and a way to pull the sled. You can easily improvise a sled by using an old tire, a long piece of rope, a piece of plywood, and some weights. Lay the tire down flat and tie the rope to it. Next, place the plywood in the bottom of the tire giving it a platform a base for adding weight. Now, simply put weight in the tire, tie a rope around your stomach or wherever you plan on working, and go to work.

just an idea..

any kind of work that will strengthen their hamstrings, glutes and lower back will help build speed

This calls for RDLs, DLs or olylifts.

snatch work and cleans are a must.

You really don't need snatches to get fast. Nor cleans. They can help develop said muscles involved in increasing speed through pure strength alone, but they're certainly not a must.
