Longevity HRT Program: Beginning

thelion2005

HRT keeps me young!
EF VIP
I am now under the care of an anti-aging internist at a large University hospital. While I've always monitored my health through discussions and testing, I've not explored hormone supplementation. This new Primary Care Physician has sent me to a lab for a complete analysis with over 20 vials drawn.

Some test results were surprising:
Testo and free testo were at the low end of the range.
Other hormones levels were within range.
Cholesterol was within range, but tri's high ... very high.
White cell/red cell count showed I'm fighting some damage.
Bone density was extremly high.
Body fat was 15%.

The plan to achieve better health and slow the aging process is to make diet and food supplement changes and to add prescribed hormone supplements. The Doctor will not participate in the single goal to pack on muscle ... It must be improved health for a higher quality of life.

This Doc is not well versed on weight resistant exercise and is very curious how all this will effect my muscle structure. He is a swimmer.

I can have HGH if I can afford it. Everything else is 100% covered by insurance.

The Doctor wants to see lower total cholesterol, identification and healing of any damage, testo to 1,000, free testo doubled and body fat lowered.

I'll be further blood tested every 3 months and have prescription changes as required. I will visit him every 2 weeks for consultation.

I am now taking:
- Testosterone 25 mg daily
- progesterone 10 mg daily
- anastrozole 0.25 mg twice p/week

All of these are topicals applied to the lower abs.

It has been two weeks and I can tell a number of changes are taking place:
- My vision and hearing is sharper.
- I don't take as long to think before taking action ... sometimes not at all.
- Life is moving more quickly.
- My mood is very good but I am much more aggressive and a bit short tempered.
- Energy is sky high.
- I am gaining strength and must not overtrain and get injured.
- I am sleeping like a rock and waking up ready to go.
- I am hungry all the time.

This should be fun. :) I'm just going to go for the ride and see what changes.

Diet and food supplementation to follow.

Something positive definately happening here. Yes ... I know it is just a small amount of supplementation and not too much time as transpired, but my strength has increased as measured by pounds and reps.

I've got too much energy and drive though and must stay away from overtraining.

I was just wondering what university you are involved with. I live in the NC. area close to Duke and UNC. I was encouraged to learn of the results you are getting. I am 45 and have go through many changes over the past 5 years. Keep up the good work.
