this morning, i asked my son to warm up my truck so i could drive him to school. i didn't realize he took only the car key portion of my keys though...
at 7:30, my son and daughter and i leave the house, which i THOUGHT i left unlocked, and drove him to school. I'm wearing a turtleneck sweater and only a denim jacket cause i didn't think i'd be gone long and it was handy.
Oh, and heels- not like warm boots or anything.
we come home and of course, the house was locked. we go to get the hidden spare key and...
its not there. someone used it and didn't put it back.
so, there i am- 20 degrees outside and i have no socks on, no coat, no money, no gas, no cell phone, no keys and my 8 year old daughter looking at me.
thank goodness my mommy only lives 5 miles from me. i went to a neighbors house to call her and her husband brought a key over.
I even had time to make my daughter an english muffin and get her on the bus!
