I only have 1 cc and i pay it off every month.. It has a 1000 limit on it but never come close to it

I owe about 3k in credit cards, 12k on my car (was 20k 2yrs ago) and 146k on my house but its worth almost 170k as is.

My GF got into credit card debt early in life and is still paying on them.
I'm glad she learned that lesson early on. She now is a very carefull spender/saver.
I never understood how people can rack up debt which in turn rapes them on interest and fees.
My rule is to never buy anything unless I can afford it out right. The exceptions being a house or car obviously or the occasional interest free promotional loans they offer on items.

It is a MUST. I always say it!
So many people run up bad credit and don't budget and get behind and it only gets worse. They are waiting for the 1st and 15th. No way to live. Set a budget and stick to it. It is hard but a must to get ahead. A bad credit score can kill you in the long run. Clean it up and take care of it. MY .02

I do not have one credit card. I have car that is paid off.
I do have lots of medical bills from when I was sick.

People are wrong, no debt is not good either. You need to est debt and pay it down. Keep building up your score. No debt is almost as bad as bad debt. Trust me, I do this for a living with the bank.
People have great businesses but their personal side is a mess and we will not give them money. Sucks but thats life! You need so show you can pay befor we lend to you.
For those who have no debt, that great if you paid it off. Congrats! I ment people who don't even have any credit.

Oh no, I had medical insurance. It's just that I was sick for so long. Because I was so ill I lost my job so I was under cobra for a short time until other medical ins kicked in.
