Hey peeps,
just had bloods done and my liver values are through the roof. I don't want to say what it was but can anyone give me an idea what a real dangerous value is.
ps anabol, never again!
Sure, I'll help you out here with some numbers.
These are the numbers I had when I was as sick as a dog, suffering from 'cholestatic jaundice'. This is where the liver stops secreting bile so conjugated bilirubin doesn't get eliminated through the duodenum as it should and leaks back into the blood stream causing jaundice. This is no good! This problem is commonly caused by ingestion of oral C-17-alkylated steroids such as the anabol you were using.
Read my brief report about this in another thread

ALP: 283.01 (normal value 0 - 270 U/L)
SGOT/AST: 109.74 (normal value 10 - 40 U/L)
SGPT/ALT: 207.26 (normal value 4 - 38 U/L)
Direct Bilirubin: 63.69 (normal value up to 4.3 µmol/L)
Total Bilirubin: 147.09 (normal value up to 18.8 µmol/L)
You may have to do a conversion because bilirubin is often indicated in mg/dl.
(to convert from mg/dl to µmol/L multiply by 17.1)
Elevated plasma conjugated (direct) bilirubin causes jaundice. This becomes visible as a yellowing of the skin and eyes when the direct bilirubin reaches around 35 - 50 µmol/L (first the eyes, then the skin). Before yellowing of the eyes is noticeable it's likely severe pruritus will begin. I start to itch when my direct bilirubin levels reach the high 20's. For me it was living hell for 2 months.
