i'm in a trial this morning and my client is charged with robbery. i'm telling him the whole time, "you don't want to testify. this d.a. will eat you alive." but he insisted and i'm obligated to let him. does fine on direct but then the d.a. gets to cross examine him...

q. so when ms. smith testified it was you that robbed her she's lying?
a. yeah.
q. and why would she lie?
a. i don't know, but i know she didn't see me in there.
q. how do you know?
a. because when i went in that store i had my hood pulled down over my face.
